Happy New Year !!!!!!

Here we are rolling into another year and I hope that each one of you accomplish everything you set out for in 2007. 2006 had its ups and downs as each year does but I am determined to make this new year the best ever. One of my dreams will become reality during this new year in March when we move into our newly built home . I can't wait ! There are several goals that I am setting out for myself this year and I intend to accomplish every single one of them no matter how big or small . One of my hopes for the year is that I meet more people like all of you because I believe that one can never have too many friends . Another goal is to quit smoking . I have never really put forth enough effort to quit and I am feeling like now is the time. Lose weight is another goal I intend to reach before December of 2007. I did set a goal to lose weight in 2006 and I lost 30lbs and I have kept it off but I didn't lose all that I wanted so I am going for it . One of my biggest goals for the year will be making time for myself instead of always worrying about everyone else because I feel as if I have lost a bit of me in all the hustle and bustle of 2006 and I am going to get that part of me back and add to it . I want to become a better Christian than I am now and basically an all together better person to myself and others. I believe that in order to be a good person to others you first have to become a good person to yourself so that is something I will be working on .

During all of these changes taking my place in my life , you all will be witness to all of it as I will be blogging about it all . Of course I have already been blogging about the house and will continue until we move in and get settled . I want this year to be different than any other I have had . I think I can accomplish each thing I want throughout the year if I take it one day at a time instead of trying to do everything at once . I look forward to the next year with all of you and I can't wait to see what all of you are up to during the year . So much love to you and I will see you in 2007!!!

looking back .....

Here it is almost four o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. After watching a re-run of my new favorite show on A&E (CSI:Miami) I signed on to check my email. After checking my email I typed in the addy for my blog and once it was loaded I sat there and looked at it for a long time wondering what I could change . See I have been wanting to make some changes around here for some time and the other night I got the idea to start another blog where I could voice all of my deepest thoughts whether they were good , bad , depressing , happy or what have ya . This idea came about because sometimes I don't voice everything that I need to get out and I just thought maybe to have another place just for that type of thing would be better than using this space for that .

For months now I have wondered what I could do to spice it up in here but I have rarely had time to do much and when I do have time I to tired to be creative . Tonight while staring blankly at my blog a question hit me , "when did things start changing here "? Since I had no clue I decided to so what any person does when a problem arises , go back to the beginning and read each post until I noticed a change . It didn't take me long to find a subtle change in what I was posting . The change was ever so gradual then it took a down hill dive like you wouldn't believe .

The first thing I noticed was around the time that my schedule was picking up and I had less time to do anything much less blog . The second was around September 2005 when my grandmother(my moms mom) started getting worse then in November 2005 when my papaw (my dads dad) was ill and had to have his leg partially amputated . When the big whammy happened was in December 2005 . We had four deaths in 16 days in my family and a horrible stomach virus in the middle of all of that. The first was my grandmother on December 19,2005, the second was my great uncle on December 26, 2005,the third was my papaw on December 31,2005, and the fourth was my other great uncle on January 3, 2006. You read that right , my papaw and his two living brothers died that close together . Within eight days they all three were gone leaving one sister. That was a very tough time for me and since then my posts have went down hill . It seems that in the past two years my family and I have had more sickness than we have ever had before and I blogged about every bit of it . Who wants to read that crap ?

This is something I really want to change because after reading through my archives from start until now I found that I use to be funny on here . Every now and again in the past I would post a silly but fun meme that I had been tagged with or I posted funny little jokes or I posted about everyday life in my house which can be funnier than any joke you can find . Another thing that bothers me is a series I started but never finished on here regarding abused , molested or kidnapped children. I posted one post of that series and didn't touch it again because I had so much information but not enough time to really put it all down the way I wanted it . I had been doing research for that series for months , I had a spiral notebook half full with excerpts , addresses for other sites, nationally known stories of children abducted , lots of information on the people who commit these crimes and a lot more but when I decided not to finish the series I threw the notebook away .

Can any of you see where I am going with this or more to the point , my opinion regarding on why my blogging hasn't been up to par ? It all revolves around one four letter word , T-I-M-E . My time has been stretched beyond the limits this past year and I have promised , in more than one post , to do better or make more time but thus far I haven't done that . Not that I haven't tried because I have , things just don't work out that well for me where time is concerned due to the fact that there are only so many hours in a day and so much I have to do each day . I am not complaining about the things that fill my time , only about how fast life is passing me by lately .

The things that fill my time are not bad things but I am not taking any time for me anymore . I normally don't do the New Years Resolution thing but this year I think I am going to do one . I want to take out time each day for me and me alone . It doesn't matter if it is two hours or five minutes as long as it is just for me .

Reading through my old posts and comments on each post , there were times I was laughing and there were also times I cried . I have met some really awesome people on here and the majority of you are still with me . There are two dudes that I really , really , really miss but I communicate with one of the through email and the other is hit and miss on yahoo . You all are such a huge part of my life and I don't want to lose that connection with you , any of you . I know that if I need advice one or more of you are there to give it , when I am excited about something different with our new home being built this is the first place I want to come because I love sharing that with you all . When I can't help but brag on my kids for some accomplishment of theirs it is you all that are here to brag with me . When I want to celebrate birthdays in my family it is you all that celebrate with me and I thank you for all of that , it means so much to me .

Another thing I noticed was chatting on Yahoo. I was on Yahoo the other night and Susie was on , she and I had a nice chat . Earlier tonight I chatted with Logo and Susie and I LOVED it because I haven't ever really had the time to do that . There are several of you that I have never chatted with on Yahoo, we only communicate through the comment sections of our blogs and every now and again we swap an email . This has to change ! It doesn't matter if we get to chat for two minutes or ten so long as we get to . Susie and I didn't chat long nor did Logo and I but I enjoyed as much as if I had chatted with them for hours .Not that I am asking each of you to chat with me every day , I am just saying that I want to have time and I am going to make sure I have time to sign on to Yahoo at least once a day from here on out . I am going to be stubborn about this changing business too because that is the only way I will make a change . Once I really set my mind to it you can forget it because I am forging on .

So from now on look for better , more lively posts on here and look for me on Yahoo messenger when you sign on because I just might be on ! Another thing is that I want to thank each and every one of you for being such good friends to me . It means so much !

Now , y'all have a good night er...um.... day and I will talk to you later !!!

Christmas pics and more ...

Hey all ! I have pics that I wanted to share with you all , some of them are updates on the house and others are of our present opening . I hope you enjoy !
*********************************************************************
**(click on images to get a larger view)**
This first pic is of the building process . They are preparing to lay the block foundation. As you can see we have had rain and it is a mess over there right now .

This pic is of the thing that has my kids more excited than anything else in the building process . You would think it would have been the digging or the pouring of the concrete or to see block over and know that something is going on but no , not my kids . It takes a port-a-potty to get their blood pumping . Chesney our fourteen year old informed us that before the house is built we all five have to use this at least one time and there has to be a pic of us coming out of it . Had I known that a port-a-potty would excite my kids this much I would have bought one a long time ago..heehee!

This is a pic of the dumpster and the port-a-potty and some dirt . The place is really starting to look like a real construction site . My son made sure he put himself in this pic because he wanted everyone to see him standing there near the dumpster , I personally think it is a man thing because everytime we go over to our land my son and husband start acting real weird like drooling and they pick up a language that only men seem to understand .

This is a pic of Bethany , our eleven year old, soon after opening her Nintendo DS Lite. I couldn't even get her to smile for a pic because she was so absorbed in this nice little piece of equipment. She still had presents under the tree at this point but she wasn't that interested in them . Oh and my end tables aren't always that cluttered but most of that is Bethanys. While I am at it , let me give those of you who are thinking of installing hardwood flooring a bit of advice . Don't go with dark floors! I didn't have a choice because we are renting this place but I drive myself crazy trying to keep them clean because every single spot of dust shows on them . These floors are stained in a dark walnut and I hate them.

This is Chesney (our child that knows everything..heehee) and she had no problem smiling for a picture . As you can see she got a nice digital camera and she hasn't quit posing and smiling since . I am glad she is enjoying the camera! As you can also see she hadn't had her shower yet but she is smiling like she has been in a stylists chair for hours .

Ty has just came out the back door and spotted his dirt bike . The poor thing didn't know what to do when he saw it and realized it was actually his and we weren't playing a joke on him . When taking this pic I was actually trying to get him with his arms in the air but he couldn't hold one pose too long so this is what I got . Shortly after this we finished opening the rest of our gifts then Ty put his helmet on and dragged Mr. Breazy out for his first ride. If you are wondering why the sprite bottle is back there against the side of the house it is because I am a smoker and I don't smoke inside my house, instead I go outside and I use this as my ashtray because I don't want my yard trashed up with cigarette butts . I need to purchase a flower pot and put sand in it but I just haven't as of yet .

******************************************************************
I hope y'all enjoyed the pics and I will post more tomorrow or over the weekend . I have pics of Ty riding his dirt bike . I have pics of Bethany sitting around playing with her DS and I have pics downloaded on my computer that Chesney has taken with her new camera . I hope you all have a great day !

*****UPDATE*****
They didn't lay the block on our land today but sometime between 2pm and 6pm they dropped of our lumber package over there . I almost messed myself when I saw it because I got so excited however , I was hoping to be over there when the big rig (18 wheeler) brought the lumber in because I wanted to get pics of it . In the end all that matters is that the lumber is there so they are getting ready to get down to some framing baby !

on to the new year ....

I can't stand to look at all the Christmas decorations once Christmas is over . It literally drives me nuts until I get them down even though everybody tells me every year that it is bad luck to take the tree down before New Years . My tree is never up on New Years . Once the presents are handed out and Christmas night is upon us , I am ready to start taking everything down . Today I spent two hours taking down everything , wrapping and packing it back up and now that is one less thing that I have to do before the kids go back to school . Friday we are taking them to Dollywood for a day of fun before school starts back on the 2nd .

I think Mr. Breazy is coming down with the Upper Respiratory Infection that Chesney , Ty and I have had . The bad thing about it is that it lingers around forever and then the stomach part hits and once that hits if you eat it is coming out one end or the other and there is nothing the doctors can give you to help this . I have lost about six lbs in a little over a week and my son has lost 2lbs . Chesney is just getting in to the stomach thing so she will be dropping a bit of weight as well .

Well I don't really have anything else to say nor do I have any updated pics of our land , those will come tomorrow or Friday . However , I will tell you that I have started another blog and I will tell you more about it at another time . If you wanna check it out just to get an idea as to why I done this just look in my blog roll for "Thoughts Aplenty" . Y'all have a good day!

Farewell Christmas ......

Chirstmas is over and we have 364 days to prepare for it again .

Hey all ! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas . We sure did . Normally by the time Christmas day is underway I start feeling a little down because we spend so much time preparing for two days of celebration and then in the blink of an eye it is over . All the anticipation and excitement and it is basically over in no time . This year however , I didn't feel down or sad . Each year we go to my parents house first thing Christmas morning to open gifts with them and then have a huge breakfast . This year was no different except we got to my parents house at 7am . Normally we don't go over until about 8:30am or 9am., but my brother and his son were leaving to go to West Tennessee deer hunting so we had to meet earlier and I was so tired . We came home yesterday I went straight to my room , put my pj's back on and climbed back in bed for a couple hours . When I woke up my son was riding his new dirt bike all over the place .

We decided that when it came time to our kids opening their presents that we would have to let them open "the big one" first or else they would know what they were getting so we sat them down , gave them their big presents and let them open them one at a time starting with Bethany our 11yr old. She had decided about a week ago that for her big thing she wanted a new coral pink Nintendo DS Lite. If she could have told me two weeks ago I could have picked it up no problem but with her waiting until the last minute I had a lot of trouble finding it even on Amazon.com . I ended up having to go to Ebay . I found one and had 11 minutes to bid on it and let me tell you , I was like a bidding fool on that thing . I lost that bid but lucked out on the next one . I had to pay $60 more for it but I got it , that was Tuesday and UPS delivered it first thing Thursday morning . One reason why I didn't have many to choose from online was because I wanted a brand new one with box still sealed from the factory and that is exactly what I got . When Bethany opened it she got so excited that I thought she was going to pass out where she sat . I wrapped the box then put it in a bigger box then wrapped that and that is how she got it . She loved it and I have to say , the Nintendo DS Lite is a neat little gadget!

Next up was my oldest daughter Chesney. She had been begging for a nice digital camera since the beginning of fall so we got her a very nice camera . She hasn't stopped taking pics since.

Next up was my son . I had debated over how to actually give him the dirt bike because it wasn't like I could wrap it so what I done was took the keys and wrapped then in a box that a pair of my earrings came in . When I started handing out gifts the first thing my son said was "Mom, why is mine the smallest?" and I replied "just because it is small doesn't mean it isn't big" and I received a real weird look over that one. When he opened the box and found the keys he looked at my husband and I like we had lost our mind for getting him a set of keys . Then I told Mr. Breazy I was going out back and to bring Ty out there in about two minutes . We had parked the dirt bike on the sidewalk out there so that Ty would see it when he opened the door. Have you ever saw a kid shocked and excited at the same time? My sweet little son got so excited he almost cried! He didn't know whether to ride the thing or look at it. I said to him " you have been saying for three years at each birthday and at Christmas you were getting a dirt bike so I figured you kind of knew , did you really think you were getting one this year?" and he said " no I didn't but it made me feel good to say it " .

At that point we all came back inside and finished opening gifts then Ty put on his new helmet and goggles then he and Mr. Breazy went outside to ride. Within thirty minutes Ty came running through the back door and hugged me saying " y'all are the best parents I have ever had and this is the best Christmas I have ever had!!" . I asked him what other parents he had ever had and he just said " you know what I am saying Mom" . So Christmas was a big hit all around here .

Today is a cold, blustery day here and I am ready to snuggle up in bed and take a nap . Being sick last week really zapped all of my energy and I am still not completely over it . When I talk I still sound real sick and I still have a bit of a cough but I do believe that there is an end near . In the meantime , if I get real tired I just go sleep for a bit .

I hope all of you have a good week !

ahhhhhhh........

I do believe there is a light at the end of this sick little tunnel I am in called upper respiratory and sinus infection. I can actually breathe out of one of my nostrils today .. LOL! For the past few days I haven't been able to breathe through my nose at all and let me tell you , if you have never experienced that before then take my advice and don't try it .

Each year it seems like all five of us end up with some sickness like this . I guess when one of us get it we can't help but share it with the others however , this go 'round Mr. Breazy and Bethany haven't got the U.R.I. . My son Ty brought this home from school on Friday and of course with me being the one to take care of him while he was sick all last weekend I ended up with it then I shared it with my oldest daughter.

So are all of you ready for Christmas ? I am ! I only have a couple of stocking stuffers to buy now . This morning UPS dropped my last package at the door so I am good to go ! I have found that sometimes you have to go online to get those high demand presents and this time I lucked up big time . After Christmas I will tell you all about it but right now I can't because if my daughter gets on here and reads all about her present then she won't be surprised .

They poured the concrete in to our footers yesterday and I do have pics of that and I will download them after Christmas . Oh and my kids think it is the funniest thing but there is also a Port-O-Potty on our land now and I will show you a pic of that as well . Sometime next week after Christmas they are going to start laying the block foundation .

Y'all have a great evening !

I'm so excited and I'm ......

almost too sick to celebrate ! Hey all ! How are all of you ? Part of me is great but the other part is not so good . I have a bad sinus infection and a couple of other annoying things going on right now that has me spending my days on the couch or in bed . However, something happened yesterday and I just had to share it with y'all . They finally broke ground yesterday ! I couldn't believe it .. our contractor told me they had us on the schedule for Monday , Tuesday, or Wednesday of this week to break ground and I figured something else would pop up to delay it once more but it happened. Yesterday my son was home from school sick and my husband got off work early so he came home and wanted to drive over to our land to see if the electric company had been out there yet (they have been very tough to deal with) . When we got over there I was so surprised that I didn't know what to do but grab my camera and start snapping. They already had the majority of the footers dug when we arrived . If I wasn't sick I would be doing a big ole' happy dance right now ! My husband and I rode back over there today and they have completed the digging and had it inspected so the concrete for the footers will be here tomorrow . T-o-m-o-r-r-o-w!!!!! I can't believe it ! The week between Christmas and New Years they are going to lay the block foundation . This process is faster than I thought and the gentlemen that are doing the work are absolutely wonderful .

Anyways, here are some pics of the footers for ya to look at . These pics were taken before they had completed the digging . Be prepared for lots more pics because I am making a scrapbook of the complete building process .

This pic is the right front corner of the house . It looks so much bigger since they started digging.

This pic is of the back right hand corner which will be the dinning room and kitchen . I can't wait!

This pic is of the front left hand corner except I took it from inside . Those bottles are the workers drinks .

The man and little boy you see on the right hand side is my husband and son . I thought they both were going to drool over the bobcat working on the left side of the pic.

The first pic in the post is what the outside of the house will look like when the work is completed except the colors I chose are different . I went with Pebblestone Clay vinyl siding (the color of coffee with cream in it) , Winestone shutters (very dark burgundy red , almost a purple) and it will be trimmed out in stark white.

I also wanted to let all of my Hijack buddies know that I do have y'all a small little something for Christmas but as I haven't been feeling well I haven't been to the post office to mail them . I will get them to you but it may be after Christmas . Thanks ! Y'all have a good day !

Oh yeah ... one more thing before I go .....
Thanks to throat drops and lots of cold water , my voice held out for the play and I was able to sing my solo without so much as a crack or a croak. The play was a success all the way around , everyone did a great job ! Thanks for your encouraging comments !

one of them days.....

Hey all ! Sorry I haven't posted in day or so but I have been busy and on top of that I have been sick . The weather here in East Tennessee is killing me ! Last weekend we barely saw 30 as high and almost all week we have been in the mid to upper 60's and let me tell you , it doesn't feel like Christmas around here with all this warm weather stuff. No wonder everybody is getting sick !

First things first , Tuesday night was my lucky night . I signed on to Yahoo Messenger (I rarely get time to do this anymore) and saw a friend ,that I hadn't talked to in months, was on so I IMed him and we chatted a bit then I looked up and down my friends list and believe it or not another friend I haven't talked to in months was on so I IMed him to chat. While chatting with this friend about photoshopping (something I have been wanting to get into) Susie IMed me . While chatting up a storm with two great people I thought to check my email and I had an email in there from another friend that I was talking to every single night until he had some things happen about a month ago so he hasn't been on . The email was to let me know he was okay because I had emailed him several times in the last month with no response so I emailed Monday night and threatened to drive down and find him to see for myself if he was alright (I would have done this too and I would do it with any of you if need be). I went to bed Tuesday night feeling like a happy child after Christmas morning!

I have been receiving Christmas cards from all over the USA. Thank you all for the cards !

My husband took today off work since he just finished up a huge job so he and I went out for lunch to one of my favorite Italian restaurants . We had a wonderful lunch then as we were leaving , we were backing out of our parking space when we heard brakes squeal and then metal crunch as it met . As I looked out my window I almost jumped out of my skin . OH MY GOODNESS!!!! The first thing I saw was a motorcycle underneath the front end of a Toyota Tundra then I looked over and saw the rider of the motorcycle in the grass. Before Mr. Breazy could stop the van I had unlocked the door, grabbed my cell , jumped out of the van and dialed 911 to report the accident all the while I am running for the injured motorcyclist. Another lady and myself got there about the same time so I went for his head to support it and she held his hand . He was very alert and in pain . His right ankle and bottom part of his right leg were hurting from the impact plus his left shoulder and side was hurting from where he hit the ground . I thank God that he hit grass instead of pavement because his injuries could have been a lot worse . This is the second motorcycle wreck I have been present in the last three months and I told my husband we were going to have to quit making a habit of being around when these things occur because the next time we see one they may be calling an ambulance for me because my heart is going to stop! When the fire department got there it just so happened that one of the firemen is a gentleman I go to church with . He took over the supporting of the head from me .

Our church play is this coming Sunday and once again I am playing Mary and I have to sing "What Child Is This" again . However , this is a different play altogether than last years but for some reason I ended up with the same song and I am hoping that I can do it because I woke up Wednesday morning feeling achy and just not good with a bit of a sore throat then yesterday morning I woke up with a very sore throat and my tonsils were swollen . So far I haven't had a fever and I hope I don't get one . I am also hoping that I will be better by Sunday .

Y'all have a great weekend and be safe !

in a slump here .....

You would think with this being one of my favorite times of year I would be all joy and happiness however , I seem to be in some sort of a slump the last few days. I think it has to do with several things. One , I have been so busy I am surprised I remember my name , Two, we are coming up on the one year anniversary of the death of my grandmother , grandfather and two uncles. Three , I know this will be our last Christmas away from home ,"home" meaning on the land where we are building . This should be enough to have me doing cartwheels but have I ever told you that patience isn't a virtue of mine? I can't wait til this time next year. You would really think that I would be ecstatic but I am just not feeling it completely this year . I am sure in a few days I will be my normal cheery , Christmasy self .

Tonight we will be attending Bethany's Christmas party with her Girl Scout Troop . Thursday we will be attending my oldest daughter's (Chesney) Christmas chorus concert , plus that night I also have a Secret Pal reveal party but it is an hour before the concert . Saturday our church is doing their yearly breakfast then putting together the Christmas baskets that go out to the needy in the community and I won't be there because Bethany's Girl Scout troop is doing a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee's and I agreed in October to supervise . The kids finally get out of school on Wednesday the 20th and I am excited about that because I am taking a break while they are on break . Yep , I am shutting down until they go back to school . My kids are growing up so quickly that I want every single second I can get , especially now .

It is official , the construction on our new home should begin this Friday and if not then on Monday. I hope nothing else goes wrong so that there are no more delays in the building. I am currently waiting on the power company to tell us where to put the temporary power pole so that our contractor can set that and get moving .The field inspector from the power company was supposed to do that yesterday but he didn't make it so I am hoping today is the day. It will all come together when it is supposed to so I need to quit worrying besides we are almost a month ahead of schedule so I can't really complain.

I posted a little cartoon joke and I hope you like it ! Have a great day!

finally the time has come.....

and things are coming together nicely with the house . We made time to meet our Contractor yesterday and signed the papers stating that we understood what he will do and what he won't do. Now there can be no changes made to the floor plan and we are almost ready to go . They were supposed to start digging footers this week but we weren't able to make time to meet with the Contractor last week and we had a problem pop up with the fill line . The county that we live in changed all the codes pertaining to a septic and fill line within the last three weeks and no one bothered to tell us until the septic inspector came out to do a final inspection . We had to add a few feet so that it would be under code for a four bedroom home so we rented a Termite and done that last weekend . Turns out that we didn't add enough because instead of having to have 100ft per bedroom , you now have to have 123ft for each bedroom . My first question to the inspector was "what the heck does the bedrooms have to do with a septic and fill line?" because you would think that it would be bathrooms they go by since that is where you do your business that pertains to the septic and fill line . I wished the area that we lived in had a sewer system so we didn't have to worry about all of this but oh well . So today I picked up the repair permit from the Environmental Code Department and found out that to be under code we also have to move the house back five feet which , thank God , is no big deal . My husband is waiting for a call from a professional septic installer so we can get him out there to finish out the fill line , get it inspected and be done with it .

With all that being said , they should break ground before Christmas and if not then a day or two after . I am happy with that ! When we ran a copy of the repair permit out to our contractors office he was gone to pick up our building permit which means it's really happening ! I knew it was happening before but I have waited a very long time on this and I am very anxious for them to get started . I can't wait to post pics of everything going on . I am very pleased that we chose the contractor that we chose because he is great and I think it will be pleasant dealing with him as it has thus far.

Okay , enough about the house for now ......
It was almost 40 degrees when we got up this morning then around noon the temp started plummeting and the wind picked up . It is cold out there I tell ya ! We should be at around 14 degrees by midnight tonight or a little after and I already have the blankets out and ready for cuddling on the couch later this evening .

Tonight at 7:30 is Bethany's award ceremony for the God and Country award and badge . It is going to be just a small gathering with close family and friends and we are doing it at the fellowship hall at our church . I will post pics of that sometime tomorrow .

I mailed all of my Christmas cards out yesterday so if you gave me your address you should be receiving yours in a couple of days . Those of you that want one and didn't email me your address you can do so now :eazybreazy@gmail.com :and I will get that out to you .

Y'all have a wonderful day and stay warm , I know I am going to try !

cool pirates , a special award , and land .....

I picked up my reserved copy of Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest first thing this morning , my eleven year old daughter is going to be excited when she gets home and sees this . I may have the movie but we can't watch it until the weekend because we are booked solid this week , plus I think it will be cool to watch the first one then this one . We saw this movie while on vacation this past summer because that is when it came out and my kids (and I) would have nothing else but to go see it . I love these as much as I do Lord of The Rings.

After mentioning Bethany, my eleven year old, I wanted to tell y'all about a special award she has been working toward receiving in Girl Scouts . It is a religion award called God and Country. Our Pastors wife has been teaching the classes and we are completing it this Thursday. She will not only get an award for taking this class but also a badge for her vest and a couple of other things . I am so proud of her for doing this and making it all the way through . There was another girl going through the class with my daughter but she quit about half way which left just my daughter . I have also went through the class with her . In the beginning I had the choice to either participate with her or just let her do it and I thought that since it was church related that it would be great for she and I to not only strengthen our relationship but to strengthen our spiritual relationship with God together . We have learned a lot and I am glad that I chose to do it . The lesson is really neat and my daughter nor myself will ever look at pizza the same again because the class uses pizza to demonstrate the meaning , for instance, the crust represents your foundation which is God's love for us , the sauce represents your spiritual and family heritage , the toppings represent our talents and gifts , the cheese represents the Ten Commandments which are used as rules that help us, the baking represents the heat of tough times and tools we need to get through them , and then we eat , share and enjoy to represent the 2 fish and 5 loaves in the young boy's lunch in John 6:1-15. It has been really awesome going through this and learning things that we just wouldn't usually think about . So Thursday our pastor will be quizzing Bethany on what she has learned and then she will receive her award and badge and we will have a pizza party with family and friends of her choice . Did I mention that I am proud of her ? LOL! She is in her third (last) year of Junior Girl Scouts and she has been working towards the Bronze award which is the highest award a Junior G.S. can earn . In the spring she should be awarded with that award .

I finally have some pics of our land ...YAY!!! I took these Saturday while I was over there working. The first one is the Termite that my husband rented to do the fill line and clean out some brush and this pic was taken at an angle so our house will actually be setting off to the right . If the house were up you would barely see a corner of it in the right hand side of the pic .

This next one is my front yard . If my house were built at this time I would be standing in my sons room looking out into the front yard . If you look to the right you will see a wooden stake and the little orange flag marking it as the front of the house . The silver roof is actually the roof of our neighbors barn . It would be much prettier if it wasn't winter and the trees didn't look like skeletons .

This one actually shows where the house is going ,however, you might not be able to see the stakes and line from here . On the right is my husbands truck that he bought to re-do and it is sitting in the temporary drive .

They are supposed to start building this week but I am not sure if they will because we have to meet with our construction manager for a pre-construction meeting before they can start . We were supposed to meet with him last week but we were booked and couldn't get a couple hours free to meet him so we should meet with him this week then they can get started .

I hope y'all enjoyed the pics and trust me , you will be very familiar with this land and seeing pics of construction on my blog in the next three months . Have a beautiful day !!!!

trying to hit the relax point of the day ....

Wow , what a day it has been . I am doing this post because I am physically and mentally worn out tonight and I just need a place to lay my day down , plus I am needing something to keep me awake for at least another couple hours so that I can go get my daughter from a friends.

Today has consisted of nothing but being on my feet and I am suffering for it . I recently took on a couple more jobs at church , I am now in charge of the decorating of the church all year and I will be planning and booking the activities from now on . I know some of you are probably thinking "why did you do this when you are so busy anyway Breazy?" but the truth is that I didn't feel like I was doing my complete part at church so I asked my Pastor if there was anything else I could take on because I believe that it isn't going to hurt me to give God more of my time even if I have to drop a couple of things or scrunch my schedule up to do it , I mean He did give me life and salvation so my time is a measly little nothing compared to that .Anyways, aside from the two new things I also , and have been for over two years, been in charge of ordering flowers for funerals, sickness and so on , I have to keep the fellowship hall stocked and make sure that we have enough food for each dinner that we have and I also handle the Christmas basket which is just a fund that collects money all year long then in December I write that money out to our treasurer to pay for what we call "Christmas Baskets" which are baskets of food that we give to those in the community who need it . The flower, food and Christmas basket funds are really not hard to do at all so taking on two other jobs was no big thing .

Okay , now on to my day ! For three hours I decorated the church , then I worked on my feet on our land with Mr. Breazy for over five hours in 40 to 50 degree weather with the wind blowing cold all over me . After coming home and getting a shower I had a banjo lesson , grocery shopping , and I had to pick up a few more drinks for the fellowship hall since we are having our Christmas dinner tomorrow , I had to drop the drinks off at the fellowship hall . Around 11:30 my eldest daughter will be home from a friends and I have to take her boyfriend home then I get to come home and throw a 22lb turkey in the oven for our dinner at church tomorrow then I get to go to bed . If my calculations are correct , I will be half dead by then . LOL ! This past week has been over full with things and it has been real hard but I am still going . The reason my feet feel like someone put a couple of tons of barbells on them is because almost everything I have had to do this week included being on my feet for long hours at a time .I am used to being on my feet but not hour after hour, day after day so yeah , I am suffering for it . I am not fussing either I just need to get this all out of my mind so that I have a chance for more than two hours sleep tonight instead of being awake going over the days activities. Do any of you all do that ? You have real hard busy week and each day you think that you will sleep like a baby then you go home , go to bed and boom , you can't sleep because the days events keep rolling through your mind .

Okay , now that I have put my day down I think I will get off here and find something else to keep me awake because I can't sit and type all night and you all don't want to sit and read for an hour . Y'all have a good night , stay warm and be safe !!!

Love ya!

are you ready ?

I will be changing the subject a bit so hang in there with me !

First off , I finally got my Christmas tree put up . Normally the tree goes up Thanksgiving night or at the latest the next day but we didn't get home on Thanksgiving night until almost midnight so that was out . I couldn't take it anymore Monday night and finally put it up . If you look closely you will notice that the left side is shaped better , that is because Mr. Breazy helped me assemble the tree this year and he didn't fluff and spread the branches like he was supposed to but I didn't fuss since I needed the help. I have since amended that problem . You will also notice that our tree has no star on it , that is because the star I had was several years old and once Mr. Breazy attached it to the top it broke and came tumbling down so I have to buy a new one . All of the kids help decorate the tree and we use a lot of ornaments that they have made in church and school , I think it gives the tree character . I also use glass balls of assorted colors and little wrapped presents . Not only did I get my tree up but I am going to finish my Christmas shopping this Saturday .. YAY!!!! This is the first year in a long time that I have finished this early . I will tell you a secret but we have to keep it extra quiet . My son has been wanting a dirtbike for two years now and all his Christmas list consisted of this year was dirtbike and accessories . Well , he will probably have a heart attack Christmas morning because we purchased a brand new dirtbike last week . It is a 50, automatic , four stroke , blue and red ! I can't wait to see his face !

From October 1st until January 1st is my favorite time of year and I normally go all out with the decorations but this year I just can't seem to get into the spirit like I usually do . I am in the Christmas spirit but not so much that I am putting lights and things up outside like I usually do and I think it is because I know this is our last Christmas here , next Christmas we will be in our new home . I was out running errands the other day and I told my husband later that night that I had actually drove by this house during the day and it didn't feel like home to me , it has been that way since we moved here . Nothing is wrong with the place or anything but I am ready to be home and home to me is on the land where our new home is going to be built.

Tonight I had to take my son to the courthouse so he could play the bells and sing with the rest of his class for the special "Lighting of the Trees " ceremony . It was fun and the kids did a great job. Tomorrow he has a field trip in Townsend (next town over from us) at the Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and they will play the bells and sing again then they will tour the museum to see the displays about Native American and Pioneer culture. The kids have been studying Native American and Pioneer culture the last month or so and my son has really loved it . I pulled out all of the info on our family since my great-great grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee . My son couldn't understand why we don't look like indians since we have the blood and I had to explain to him how it is diluted and so on . I also showed him some of his facial characteristics that showed the tiny amount of Cherokee he does have . I really enjoyed spending that time with him and I wish the girls would get really interested in our family history .

Okay , now for the most exciting news ...... they are starting construction on our house sometime next week . We have a pre-construction meeting with our construction manager tomorrow to go over everything one more time and this will be our last chance to change any of the plans , which we won't . They have been hiring more and more work crews because they are getting busier and busier and all means that our house will be done quickly but not so quickly that it will be slapped together . We will be in by the end of March which delights me more than you know . Y'all probably won't be able to stand me by the time the house is complete because I am estatic !!

Last but not least , I received some holiday crapola in the mail the other day from a beautiful woman in California and I just had to have my son model the colorful shirt that was in the package . In his hand he has a burger and fries from Dairy Queen . From what I hear this shirt has been all over the country and several children have posed for a pic . My son was all for a pic in the shirt and he just had to hold the burger and fries . Thanks Susie!

Yesterday I was at home going over some paperwork when Mr. Breazy called . He told me that he had been hurt at work and he was just taking a minute to calm down and get his breath . If you remember my husband owns his own business so it isn't like he can't take a break if need be . Anyways, when I asked what happened he told me that he was using the table saw cutting a board when the saw knocked the board out or as a man who works in wood would say " the saw kicked the board out" .It hit my husbands right hand and knocked it behind his back then it hit his right leg and knocked it out from under him . When he pulled his right hand around in front of him his index and middle finger were laying over on his ring finger ... blech!! He said blood was gushing from the middle finger as well and the deformity of his fingers shocked him so bad that he grabbed them and jerked them back into place . It scared me witless and even though he was a couple counties over I wanted to go pick him up and take him to the doctor , he said no he would be alright . When he got home two hours later I was ready to go to the doctor but he wouldn't have it . He said there was nothing they could do for him and I told him I thought maybe some stiches could be thrown in the middle finger . He then took off his bandage and showed me his middle finger.... blech again!! Half of that fingernail is gone , it goes up diagonally and there is a huge chunk of his finger gone . Nothing that won't heal mind you but still it is not there . I called the doctor immediately and for once my husband was right , there is nothing they can do for him so they told me how to care for and cleanse the wound . They also told me to watch for angry red looking skin and if he has that get him to the ER ASAP. He is sore but doing okay and he went back to work this morning as if nothing had happened .

I will have some pics of our land to post on Monday so y'all come back!

Be safe and stay warm!

****I actually had several more pics and a few more things to say but blogger has decided to be special and it is late at night so maybe I can post those soon****

after the holiday ...

Good Monday ! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving . We had a great holiday weekend with family and friends . I can't believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone already , it will be Christmas in a day or so at this fast pace .

So far we still haven't broke ground on our house but we should before Christmas . We still have a couple of small things to do this weekend then we will be ready to proceed. It is kind of funny that we have waited all these years for this to happen and when it comes around the builders end up waiting on us . Oh well it couldn't be helped , me little medical incident a couple of weeks ago put a stop on things but never fear we are rolling again . I have been putting some serious thought into the paint colors I want to use throughout the house . The girls have chosen their colors but my son , husband and I haven't chosen the colors for our rooms . The one room that really has me stumped is the kitchen , I am trying to decide between four colors and I am having a hard time with that. I have also been checking out appliances for the kitchen and I know exactly what I want there without a second thought . Now we move to the laundry room and I know what I want there as well , the problem is if Mr. Breazy will agree because it will be a bit costly . Sometime in the next two weeks we are going to take a trip to North Carolina to look at furniture and I can't wait . Mr. Breazy is going to build our dinning table , he designed it and I am excited about seeing it for real instead of on paper because I am not getting the true design by looking on paper.

I would like to send out Christmas cards so if you want one just email me your address . My email is eazybreazy@gmail.com . Y'all have a great day !

Thanksgiving

It is so hard to believe that is once again Thanksgiving . This year has flown by and I am still trying to figure out where the spring and summer went . This is one of my favorite holidays because it is one that is spent with family . I had thought about doing a post telling everything that I am thankful for but we would all be here all day and night so let me just say that God has blessed me so much this year and I am thankful for every bit of it . I will say that I am very thankful for my family who sticks with me through thick and thin and they take care of me when I am sick . I am thankful and I feel honored to be so blessed as to have friends such as all of you . I may not be able to get online and read your blogs everyday but know that all of you are in my prayers each night as I prepare for bed . I hope that each one of you have a blessed day and that it is filled with family and many more memories to go with memories of years past . God bless you all !

I am still having some slight pain and fortunately I have remained on my feet instead of the floor for the past week . Thank you all so much for your well wishes and prayers . I will be posting for Thanksgiving so I hope y'all come back over next week ! Y'all have a good one !

takin' some time ...

Hey all ! This will be my last post for a while because I am going to take some time to get myself together . I have something going on with my body that is causing problems and even though I am scared senseless I need to have some tests done to find the problem. Something happened to me this morning that really scared my kids and it is just time to put off going to doctor and get it taken care of . Let me explain a bit better....

If you remember , I done a post back in July about a cyst on my left ovary bursting . Since then I have had some pain from that ovary that I shouldn't be having . Yesterday(tuesday) was like any other day except I didn't feel real good and couldn't name where I felt bad at . I have days like this here and there and normally a good nights sleep cures it . Well , last night about 10pm my left ovary started hurting and by the time I went to bed at around 11:30 it was to the point that I couldn't get comfortable. I finally was able to find a position that didn't hurt so bad and I dozed off . Around 1am my son woke me up because he had a bad dream . After being up with him for about five minutes I started hurting worse so I took a vicodin and went back to bed once my son was back to sleep. This morning when I got up I was still hurting and I done as I do every morning , I headed to the bathroom .

To make a long story short , I collapsed in the bathroom . The bad thing about the whole incident is that my 11yr old daughter saw the entire thing and it scared her very bad because she thought I was dying . After she walked out of the bathroom she turned around and came back to ask me a question . She said that I grabbed my side , moaned loudly and just hit the floor and once I was on the floor she said that I was "twitching". She called to me a couple of times , heard her dad coming so she took off for her room . After being out for about two minutes I came awake hearing Mr. Breazy talking to me and he was holding my hand . I was crumpled in the corner , near our open doored linen closet . It took a bit before I could really catch my breath and get up even with help. Mr. Breazy made me sit on the closed toilet while he wet a washcloth in cold water for my face and he had to hold me up because I knew that I was going to pass out again but he made me lean my head back while he washed face with the cold cloth and thank God I didn't go out again .

I have passed out before but never has it been like this . It has never came on me as fast as it did this morning . Normally I have a bit of time to sit down or at least get a hold of something and call out for help but not this morning . All day long I have felt lightheaded and dizzy and just basically not steady on my pins . I made Mr. Breazy go on to work and I went back to bed . My mom came over to sit with me while I bathed because Mr. Breazy wouldn't have it any other way . He said he didn't want me passing out in a tub full of water and drowning so I called Mama . I am scared to go to the doctor and find out what is wrong but tomorrow I have to call and go because I can't live with this pain and I can't go around passing out all the time . What scares me the most is what if this had happened while I was taking my kids to school ? That brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it . Another thing is that I am bruised several places, including my face where the wall and floor jumped out to meet my body as it fell and even though I don't consider myself old at age 31 , I couldn't handle bruises like this often . I think the worst one is on the back of my left arm above the elbow where my arm fell on the edge of the wall then my head on my arm.

I have had some other tell tell signs of things going on so it is time to go to the doctor before it gets worse . I don't know if I will be back to blogging in a couple days , a week or whenever but I will get back as soon as I feel better . I will be on daily to check my email because I correspond with my kids teachers through email almost daily . With all that being said , for those of you that pray , please keep me in your prayers . For those of you that don't pray then cross your fingers for me . Y'all be safe , take care and I will miss you !

what irks me and my mean streak ...

It is time for the parent , teacher meetings around these parts . The teachers are always all about being on time but today as I went for a meeting with my 11yr olds math teacher I waited and waited and waited some more . I was there ten minutes early as always because one of the things I hate is tardiness . The teacher never showed up so after waiting almost a half hour on him I went in search for some help and finally found two other teachers that my daughter has . She isn't having a problem in either of their classes , as a matter of fact , she isn't having problems in anything but math so I really needed to speak with this teacher and just my luck he has that horrible stomach virus that is floating around . I think he could have at least had one of the two teachers to email me , call me or something. Instead I wasted time that I didn't have to waste . So when he next calls me about a meeting he will have to work on my time instead of the other way around because I have a full boat right now with the building of our home that is about to begin , church , girl scouts , fiddle lessons , banjo lessons and all other manner of things . Okay , enough grumbling about my problems....

About the mean streak thing ..
I was reading Snavy's post today about the mean reds and it made me think of that mile long mean streak I have . My sister has it too so I am not alone but I don't know of any other person that has this. By mean streak I am talking about being fine and good one minute and the next I am fighting off the urge to do something mean like ankle someone or pour iced tea over someones head or whatever the urge maybe because it varies . My husband thinks I have this because I never do anything mean , I always make sure that I do things on the straight and narrow . I am a perfectionist so I do try to do things the way they should be done or by the rules . Now don't get me wrong , I am not little miss angle , I do mess up and all that but when I am doing something I put my best effort forward and go with it until I am satisfied , sometimes it doesn't come out as I would like . However , that has nothing to do with the "mean streak" I am talking about . Let me explain what happens when I get this mean streak , several years ago I was working at a very popular deli here in town and we were always busy . One of the brothers that owned the deli worked the same shift that I did and he was a nut . He was always joking around and just having fun , he was also all about business and there were some customers that he didn't joke around in front of . There was this real big real estate agent that he done business with and she had always saw just the serious side of him and every now and again she would pop in the deli to have a sub sandwich for lunch . We had just finished up our main lunch rush when she came in and ordered , by the time she finished eating I was done cleaning and re-stocking so I was sitting having a bit of lunch myself. My boss stood at the cash register talking to her and I was fine , I wasn't thinking thoughts of doing anything to anyone especially my boss but it seemed like one second I was eating and the next thing I knew I had dropped my bosses shorts and undies right in front of his real estate friend. When I realized what I had done I just turned around , washed my hands and went back to my lunch . When the real estate agent left my thoughts were "oh no , I am going to be fired for this little incident and I don't even know how to explain what just happened or why I did it" . This was one of the times that my little "problem" had really embarrassed me . However , my boss laughed it off and it became a competition between us as to who could ankle the other more times in one week , I learned very quickly that a belt tightened a notch or two tighter than normal will hold the pants/shorts up no matter who is pullin' on them .

There have been other things that I have done that kinda happened before I knew what was going on and there have been some really mean things that I have done when this mean streak hit me and I took a day or two to plan out my strategy . See when this urge comes on me I have to really fight with myself and weigh my pros and cons before I act . I don't like doing anything mean but sometimes I do just that . This little "problem" of mine has got me into some serious situations that I would rather have not been in . When I was younger there was no fighting it off but now that I am older and I really understand consequences I can beat it back sometimes .

With all of that being said , I bet all of you are sitting there wondering just what kind of person I am. Well I will tell you , this thing isn't like a brain sickness or anything , lol , it is just something that I have always had and sometimes I choose to act on it . Sometimes I will even ask the person I am wanting to be mean to how they would react if I were to do whatever it is I am wanting to do. For instance , this past summer I had just made fresh sweet iced tea and I was outside on the front porch sipping my tea and smoking a cigarette . My husband was sitting out there with me and the urge to dump my tea over his head was almost overwhelming so I asked him what he would do if I dumped the glass over his head , he gave me a wicked little grin and said "Heather , you go right ahead and do what it is you want to do to me but remember that I am more sneaky and more mean than you could ever be " , that was enough to change my mind about wetting his head or anything else , besides , I don't want to waste a good glass of tea !

So now y'all know a little something about me that I don't normally tell . If you know what I am talking about tell me about something you have done !

Y'all have a great day !

Oh what a morning

Good Friday morning to ya ! This morning is one of those mornings that made me want to snuggle just a bit deeper into the covers and go back to sleep . Monday we had a high of 71 and it was beautiful , on Halloween we had a nice 60 something day with the a bit of rain and wind then we turned to cold on Wednesday and today it is so cold out there you could get frostbite in your nether regions . It might be cold but hey , the sun is shining beautifully .

My two youngest kids got up great this morning and got ready , we were actually able to leave a whole five minutes earlier than usual which is something of a miracle around here . After I dropped my son at the elementary school , my daughter gasps loudly and I knew that she had left something at home . "Mom , you have to go back home and bring my binder and math book , if you don't I will get detention" she says . I am thinking a bit of detention might help her remember to pick her books up or her lunch money as she is always forgetting one or the other . On top of this I hear my low gas warning start dinging and realize that not only am I running low but my gas hand is below the red , great this is all I need . I came home and picked up my oldest daughter , stopped by the gas station where I got a nice surprise , gas has dropped $1.99 for regular ,and finally after dropping off the forgotten binder and book I dropped my oldest at the high school . I am now sitting here listening to morning news and chillin' out . I honestly don't know what I would do without my children to cause chaos every morning , sometimes I try to imagine what life would be like without the kids and I am so glad that I don't have to live that because to me it would be an extremely boring life . Of course we all need alone time and all that but I get that while they are at school .

Construction on our home will be starting in the next three to four weeks if not sooner . We got the word yesterday that things could move along a bit faster than expected . Right now all I can say is "build baby build" ! I want out of here so bad I can't stand it . Have I ever mentioned that patience isn't a strong point with me ? Soon I will be sitting down with our painter , which happens to be the Pastor of our church , and try to pick out the colors I want throughout the house . This is going to be a difficult decision for me because I love all colors . I know that I want earthy , soft tones but other than that the exact colors aren't coming to mind yet and who knows what I will end up with . I do know that my 11yr old daughters room will be painted in a very pale , very soft lime green . That is her favorite color and she has some creative ideas for accessories in her room that would blend all of her favorite colors together . My oldest daughter wants solid walls and polka dot accessories and as long as she goes with something soft on the walls then she can accessorize with whatever she wants . My son however , wants his room painted half navy blue , the other half orange . He loves the Dukes of Hazzard but his room will not be those dark colors so he will have to think of something else .If I were to give in ,do the navy and orange then I would be repainting within a couple of months so we aren't going that way . For a while he wanted his walls John Deere green and the trim John Deere yellow which I don't think would be all that but I want light colors throughout the house . Oh well , it will all come together when the time comes .

Y'all have a wonderful weekend . Stay warm and be safe !

Halloween...

Once again it is that time of year , Halloween . I have on my hands a Corpse Bride and small but cute Marine with a mean looking gun . I love this time of year because of all the scary movies they put on tv. During the month of October each year , I always watch one channel more than the others , The Disney Channel . I love that channel , which is a good thing since my kids aren't allowed to watch just anything . I really like it because it shows the halloweeny kind of movies but they are fun and don't scare the kids into my bed at night . A couple of our favorite movies on Disney are , of course , Hocus Pocus (who doesn't love that movie ?) , Tower of Terror and there are some others .

This time of year is my favorite because of all the pretty colors . Last week when I went to Manchester , Ky I was at a loss of words because there were no fall decorations . NONE ! I couldn't believe it , that little town looks like someone just cut a couple of roads out of the middle of a rock mountain . The leaves are absolutely beautiful right now but still , there were no fall decorations . I know that not everyone is like myself and go crazy decorating for fall but couldn't they at least put a corn stalk arrangement in the front yard ? Or a colorful leaf arrangement sticker on their front door ? or maybe a fall colored wreath ? You can't even see half of my front door right now because of the huge pumpkin that is hanging on my door and after tonight that will come down and a fall colored wreath will go up . Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because all the family gathers together for a day of eathing and fellowshipping , what , I ask you , is better than that ? Last year I cooked Thanksgiving dinner here but I have asked my mom to do it this year because that is just the way it has always been and I am looking forward to spending the day with my family because I don't get to see them as often as I would like .

Well , I need to sign off and get busy since tonight is all booked up . Y'all have a wonderful day and watch out for all the little ghosts, ghouls , goblins , witches and other mean looking creatures.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!

homeowner ... who me ?

Thursday morning at 10am my husband and I became official homeowners . That's right , we signed the building contract finally ! The construction should start sometime within the next 3-8 weeks . I thought I was going to get sick all over the finance manager while signing those papers because I was sooooo excited and scared all at the same time . Our finance manager told us that feeling sick was a normal thing even when it wasn't the first time . That made me feel better !

I am excited but it is a huge step that we have never taken before so I wanted to make sure that everything was right and in order . It took us almost two hours to sign because I was reading every word that was wrote on each piece of paper . Now I just want to see some dirt turned over and a foundation popping up . When all was said and done and it was put on the contract , we financed almost $4,000 cheaper than the original amount we thought we would be financing , that sure puts a big smile on my face ! Anyways, that is what is going on in my life so expect to start seeing some construction pics on here because as I am going through this new ,exciting time in my life , y'all are going to go through it with me and see what I see , hear my feelings and all that good stuff !

Be safe , take care and have a wonderful day !!!!!

time for a business trip ...

Hey all ! I wanted to stop by and let you all know that I will be leaving first thing in the morning (tuesday) for a small business trip . For those of you wondering , I work at home for my husband . He owns a very successful hardwood flooring business that he has built from the ground up and I handle all the errands and paperwork that go along with it . I also work for a company out of Knoxville part-time . I go different places and get a car count at intersections . The reason I have to get a count varies . Sometimes it is a big department store wanting to build and they want to know the best place to build in the town , or in some cases the city is looking at adding , removing , or changing the location of a red light . So far most of my counts have been in various cities/towns in Kentucky and tomorrow is the same . I am headed for Manchester, Kentucky and I will return late Wednesday or early Thursday . Anyways, I thought I would post a bit of poopie around here for y'all while I am gone , just for a few laughs !

Enjoy !!!!

The Poopie List

Ghost Poopie = the kind where you feel the poopie come out , but there is no poopie in the toilet.

Clean Poopie =
the kind where you poopie it out , see it in the toilet , but there is nothing on the toilet paper.

Wet Poopie = the kind where you wipe your butt 50 times and it still feels unwiped, so you have to put some toilet paper between your butt and underwear so you won't ruin them with a stain .

Second Wave Poopie = this happens when you're done Poopie-ing and you've pulled up your pants to your knees , and you realize that you have to poope some more .

Pop-A-Vein-In-Your-Forehead-Poopie = the kind where you strain so much to get it out , you practically have a stroke.

Gassy Poopie = it's so noisy , everyone within earshot is laughing .

Drinker Poopie = the kind of Poopie you have the morning after a long night of drinking. It's most noitceable trait is the skid marks on the bottom of the toilet .

Lincoln Log Poopie = the kind of Poopie tha tis so huge you're afraid to flush without first breaking it into little pieces with the toilet brush .

Corn Poopie = self-explanatory .

Gee-I- Wish-I-Could-Poopie Poopie = the kind where you want to Poopie but all you do is sit on the toilet and fart a few times.

Spinal Tap Poopie = that's where it hurst so badly coming out , you would swear it was leaving you sideways.

Wet Cheeks Poopie( The Power Dump) = the kind that comes out of your butt so fast , your butt gets splashed with water .

Liquid Poopie = the kind where yellowish-brown liquid shoots out of your butt and splashes all over the toilet bowl.

Mexican Poopie = it smells so bad your nose burns .

The Surprise Poopie = you're not even at the toilet because you are sure you're about to fart , but oops ....a poopie!!!

The Dangling Poopie = this poopie often refuses to drop into the toilet even though you know you are done Poopie-ing it . You just pray that a shake or two will cut it loose.

medication , education and sleeping like the dead ...

Hey all ! Just call me "Slacker" from here on out . LOL! I have actually just been very busy and when didn't have time to get on and when I did have time to get on , well , I will tell you what I was doing then on down in the post .

Medication
I posted ,not too long ago, about the new Daytrana patch(for ADHD) that my son was recently prescribed . I promised an update because some of you were interested his reaction to it . He has been using the patch for a week now and we are very satisfied with it . The first thing that I noticed with the patch was that my sons appetite didn't decrease like it did with the pills he took . Instead we have saw a major increase in his appetite but when I took him to the doctor today he had lost a pound which right now isn't a major concern unless he looses more than 2 & 1/2 lbs . My son is sleeping soundly throughout the entire night which is something he doesn't do with the pills , he also has a much better attitude , not that he had a bad one with the pill but he was more prone to get frustrated easier than with the patch . All in all I have no complaints except one and it doesn't even concern my son , it concerns me . When the doctor prescribed the patch to us she and I discussed the patch in detail for some time . The first thing that she told me when I asked about applying the patch to my sons hip was that I needed to try and get the patch on as quickly as possible , try not to touch the sticky stuff (medication) , and to wash my hands really good as soon as the patch has been applied . I just didn't understand how strong methylphenidate was until I got some of the sticky stuff on my fingers . I immediately washed my hands but within five minutes I was extremely nauseous and for the rest of the day I had a bad copper kind of taste in my mouth . Since that first day I have been very careful about getting it on my fingers but sometimes it can't be helped however, I did discuss this with my sons doctor and she said she would get back to me because she wanted to discuss it with their rep from Daytrana because she thought that just that little bit on my fingers making me feel that way was very interesting . My son loves it so I can deal with getting it on my fingers every once in a while for him .

Education
With all that being said about the meds , let me say that even though it is doing good things my sons school work is not improving as of yet and it should have just a bit so I called
Sylvan Learning Centre today . My son will start with them within the next two weeks and I am so excited to get started . Even if the meds helped to improve his school work right now , when his body becomes use /immune to the milligrams he is taking his work will drop anyways so I decided that we would do something different for that because I am very concerned about his future. He loves school and everything about it but he gets frustrated a lot because he will be working on something that he knows but he can't concentrate enough to get right so his grades are suffering for this . I can't wait to post more about this once he gets started .

Sleeping Like the Dead
This is what I have been doing when I wasn't busy . For some reason , the past week and a half has been weird for me because if I sit down I go to sleep . I have been completely exhausted and most days I have taken two naps and still felt like I hadn't slept in days when bed time arrived that night . My kids think it is funny because I have never been one to take naps but here lately if I hit the sofa or the recliner I am out within minutes . One of the kids actually joked during supper last night that they were surprised I didn't fall asleep in my plate because I was sitting and relaxed . I think one of my problems is that since the weather has changed here my sinuses/allergies have been killing me. Also just the weather change itself makes me want to cuddle up under a nice soft blanket with the kids and watch tv or snooze . I am a very light sleeper but when these "naps" come on me and I go to sleep , you could set dynamite off beside me and I wouldn't know it .

Anyways, that is what I have been doing that has caused me to slack off from my blog . Y'all take care ! :)

meds and teenagers ...

The doctor has put my son on a brand new type of medicine for his ADHD . It is called Daytrana and it is actually a patch that he will wear on his hip . The patch is designed for ADHD kids only , ages 6-12. The patch stays on for up to 9 hours depending on how well the child adjusts to it . By using this patch I will be able to control the medicine his body gets . For instance , sometimes when he starts a new medicine or gets moved up in mg's he can't sleep for a few days or his eating drops off to nearly nothing . Sometimes he is a bit more aggressive than usual or more emotional . We are waiting for an approval from our insurance before we can get the patch and I can't wait because I think this might be just the thing for my son . He doesn't mind taking the pills so much but once they are in the body , you can't control that . With the patch the medicine goes straight to the stomach instead of like the pill which has to go through the stomach first which means he has to take it while eating and he has to take it before a certain time each morning .He can't sleep in even on his school breaks with the pill because he has to take it before a certain time or he will be up all night . With the patch you can take it off two or three hours early if their sleep becomes problematic. If you want to read more about it you can go here . Once we get the patch and try it I will do an update post to let you all know how it is working for us .

On to the teenagers part.......

My fourteen year old daughter had a friend over today and this friend brought the most fun game I have ever played . Mad Gab, have you ever heard of it ? It is awesome ! It has all the words that you have to read and say them out loud quickly so you can hear what they are meaning , for instance your card will say EYE MULL OF MACHINE and if you read that quickly you will see that it is actually saying " I'm a love machine". We had so much fun with it . Anyways , sometimes I don't know whether I want to ring my daughters neck or go out and have some fun with her and I know any parents out there who have raised or are raising a teenager knows what I mean by this . When my daughter isn't the know-it-all-genius , she is pretty funny . After dropping her friend of at home she and I were in my mini-van alone on our way home . My daughter wanted to listen to the hip hop station so I turned it and Nelly's song " I Am Number One" came on and I , for some odd reason , have always liked Nelly . We were sitting at a red light singing , my window was down and we weren't singing that loud , anyways , this little beat up car that sounded like it was on it last mile pulled up beside us and started to rev the motor . My first thought was "oh please , I am in a mini-van for gods sake" but this kid kept on revving . My daughter stopped singing and looked over at this guy and says " oh so you wanna a piece of this eh?" which the kid couldn't hear her but she likes to talk smack . She then turns to me and says " smoke him mom!" so when the light turned green I took off at normal pace because like I said , I am in a friggin mini-van . The car gets about five car lengths in front of us and my daughter is like " take him Mom " so I sped up a bit and actually started racing with this kid . It didn't take long to figure out that even though I was driving the mom mobile , as my daughter calls it , it was going to be easy to take this kid . Once we got way in front of the car my daughter looks over and back towards the car and says " oh yeah , you got smoked by a mini-van , come get you some more big boy" . I laughed so hard I almost ran off the highway because most of the time my daughter would rather ride a camels back to get where she wants to go than ride in the dreaded mom mobile. This was one of those moments that I will remember forever because of the little excited twinkle that came into her eyes when she was talkin' her smack .

Sometimes I think it is good just to get down to their level and "hang out " with them . The one thing Mr. Breazy and I promised when we found out that I was pregnant with her was that we would never forget what it was like being a teenager because it is a very hard time in life . So far I haven't broken that promise and every time we have to sit her down and have a talk with her we try to look at the situation from her point of view as well . This has helped so many times . Sometimes she and I will be home and we turn on the radio and start dancing in the living room then my other two children and husband comes to see what we are doing and they end up joining in . I don't want my kids to look back one day and think that their dad and I were too busy being parents to stop and smell the coffee , so to speak .

So tell me what you do with your kids to have fun ?

Long time blah blah...

It has certainly been a while since I've been here. Sometimes I think about deleting this blog and being done but I also think I am goin...
