Once again it is that time of year , Halloween . I have on my hands a Corpse Bride and small but cute Marine with a mean looking gun . I love this time of year because of all the scary movies they put on tv. During the month of October each year , I always watch one channel more than the others , The Disney Channel . I love that channel , which is a good thing since my kids aren't allowed to watch just anything . I really like it because it shows the halloweeny kind of movies but they are fun and don't scare the kids into my bed at night . A couple of our favorite movies on Disney are , of course , Hocus Pocus (who doesn't love that movie ?) , Tower of Terror and there are some others .This time of year is my favorite because of all the pretty colors . Last week when I went to Manchester , Ky I was at a loss of words because there were no fall decorations . NONE ! I couldn't believe it , that little town looks like someone just cut a couple of roads out of the middle of a rock mountain . The leaves are absolutely beautiful right now but still , there were no fall decorations . I know that not everyone is like myself and go crazy decorating for fall but couldn't they at least put a corn stalk arrangement in the front yard ? Or a colorful leaf arrangement sticker on their front door ? or maybe a fall colored wreath ? You can't even see half of my front door right now because of the huge pumpkin that is hanging on my door and after tonight that will come down and a fall colored wreath will go up . Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because all the family gathers together for a day of eathing and fellowshipping , what , I ask you , is better than that ? Last year I cooked Thanksgiving dinner here but I have asked my mom to do it this year because that is just the way it has always been and I am looking forward to spending the day with my family because I don't get to see them as often as I would like .
Well , I need to sign off and get busy since tonight is all booked up . Y'all have a wonderful day and watch out for all the little ghosts, ghouls , goblins , witches and other mean looking creatures.

i love that movie too and we just rented Beetle Juice a couple weeks ago so our sons could watch it - it was great.
Halloween was so much fun last night! It was only about 30 degrees outside too! Brrrr!
I am off to raid the candy stash!
thanks all ... we had a lot of fun too Susie . Here the wind was cold and blowing and it was sprinkling just a bit and the beautiful leaves were everywhere.
Hope ya'll had a fun Halloween:-). I love watching scary movies drinking hot chocolate and eating popcorn. I have the DVD of both Hocus Pocus and The Tower of Terror. I remember that movie came out right as the ride or erm I should say elevator drop at Disney came out*he he he*. Hubs & I rode that ride 5 times in a row right before leaving to catch the plane back home*gigles*. We are such big goofy children when it comes to Disney, MGM and of course Universal Studios*LOL*.
