I don't have anything to post for HNT today so I am going to ramble instead .

I won't be on at all tomorrow , however, I will have a post up . At my church we are getting ready to take the youth group on our fall retreat which will be in Townsend in huge cabin for four days and three nights . We have had to have fundraisers to raise money for this retreat because we didn't want to dip into the youth fund for the cost , so we have been fundraising for a couple of months now and tomorrow is our scheduled rummage sale . I have to work it from 8am-4pm . After the sale Mr. Breazy and I will be taking the kids to his mother and then we are headed to our RV alone . Yeah , you heard right alone ! I have been trying to get a weekend alone with my husband for some time now and it is finally going to take place. We are meeting another couple in Pigeon Forge for dinner and then off to the campground we go . I can't wait!!

It finally feels like fall here . Our high today is supposed to be 70 and we are getting thunderstorms , it feels really good . Up until last saturday we have still been having temps in the low 90's then after saturday the temps have ranged in the upper 80's . Tonight the low is supposed to be 43 and my kids are acting like they will freeze to death during the night . They pulled all of their winter blankets out and asked me to wash them and get them ready for tonight . hehe! Kids can be so funny sometimes . Anyways , I am really enjoying the temp .

I will be sitting with my grandmother today while my mother and aunt go to appointments they have scheduled . I haven't been up there to see my grandmother for about two weeks now because I have been really sick with a head / chest cold with some allergies and sinus' mixed in and I didn't want to make things worse for her if she were to catch what I had .

Bethany , my 10yr daughter, returned from her nature trip with school . They went to Tremont for three days and two nights and she had a blast . I am going to take her film to be developed today and I am going to have them put them on a cd as well and I will post some of those pics for you early next week . Before packing to come home yesterday they took a hike up the mountain to a beautiful waterfall and I can't wait to see those pics . She said the waterfall was beautiful.

Can I get a WOOHOO!!!!

My son had another baseball game tonight and they rocked the field. GO ORANGE TEAM!! They played against the yellow team tonight and the final score was 19-13. These boys are playing awesome . We had three home run hits tonight and one double . My son is holding the best batting average on the team . He has batted 26 times this fall season and got on base 25 of those times ! Tonight my son earned himself a game ball which will go on a special trophy the coach is having made for them. Their last two games are next Tuesday and Thursday then the season is over . He should start with his trainer in a couple months and he is very excited about that. Anyways, I was bubbling over with excitement and I just thought I would post it on here . How did they do that ?

The Vols and Tigers were scheduled to play on Saturday but the game was rescheduled because of Hurricane Rita . Last night at 7:30 , the TN Vols played the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge , LA . In the first half of the game the Vols played awful . I quit watching at halftime when the Tigers had a 21-0 lead over the Vols. I flipped the channel to watch Michelle Kwan start her journey to win another world title . My husband went to my daughters bedroom to finish the game ,since she is gone on a three day trip with school . At ten Medium came on and I watched all of it then my husband came back in the living room to finish watching the game . I sat there and watched for a few minutes and the Vols tied the game 24-24. I went outside to smoke and then went to bed . When I got up this morning I saw on the news that the Vols had grabbed the victory with a score of 30-24 . My question is how did they do that ? I remember a couple of years ago it seemed everytime the Vols hit the field they would play like shit the first half and then the second half they would play like there was no tomorrow pulling out a victory almost everytime . No matter how they play I still love them and I will remain loyal to them but I can't wait until they get it together because there is soooo much potential there .

Another thing I wanted to touch on today is the fact that blogger seems to be cooperating with me , dammit! I had several images I was going to post for Bsoholic's birthday and blogger wouldn't cooperate with me and post my images . I started trying to do the post for Bs on saturday night and I was going to put it in drafts and then on yesterday morning I was going to pull it up and hit Publish Post. Oh well Bs I tried and I did tell you that it would work fine today and of course , it is .

I don't know how many of you are tv fanatics but I don't watch tv that often and a friend of mine has now got me hooked on that show Medium with Patricia Arquette . I am going to try and find a show to watch each night of the week because about all I watch is weather , news and Vols games . My son's birthday was on the 12th of this month and he wanted The Dukes of Hazzard seasons that are on dvd so he got season 1 and season 2 for his birthday and I have been sitting down and watching at least one episode a day just so that I can sit back and rest .

My son had a baseball game last night and his team had their game on last night . They won 25-7 ! It was an awesome game and it was played in the rain , which all of the boys loved . He has another game tonight at 6 and then next week he has two games then the season is over .

Rambling on ...

Today I am just going to do a little rambling about some recent movies that I have watched.

First up is Guess Who with Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher . This movie is funny but not as funny as it was portrayed on the previews . I would watch this again however, I wouldn't buy it to add to my collection .



Next up is Mr. 3000 with Bernie Mac . This movie is about a major league baseball player who finds out nine years after retiring in the middle of the season , that he really didn't hit 3000 base hits , he actually hit 2997 . He goes back into training and then he hits the field again to get his three base hits however, it isn't as easy as he thinks it's going to be and he learns a few things the second time around . This movie will definately be added to my collection .

Next up is the new re-make of Burt Reynold's The Longest Yard . This movie was great . Adam Sandler stars as Paul "Wrecking" Crewe, a former NFL quaterback who is thrown in to a maximum security prison after he is caught shaving points in a game. The warden orders Crewe to put together a football team that will play the guards of the prison and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN. Chris Rock , Nelly , Burt Reynolds , Bill Goldberg , "Stone Cold"Steve Austin and several other wrestlers , a couple of former NFL players and some of the original cast will have you laughing your tail off . There are parts that make you mad but for the most part you will be laughing . This movie became an addition to our personal collection last night when my husband found it on sale at Wal-Mart . This is a must see movie and I do recommend that you see the original as well.

The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks , author of The Notebook , Message In A Bottle and A Walk To Remember , done a wonderful job with this book . Denise Holston and her four year old son Kyle , who has a speech problem and can't speak well , move to Edenton , North Carolina after she has to quit her teaching job to teach her son . Taylor McAden, a contractor and volunteer firefighter in Edenton, meets Denise and her son when there is a horrible thunderstorm and Denise has an automobile accident . Taylor is like a dream come true for Denise and Kyle but he isn't very open about himself and he has alot of baggage . Taylor has never been able to let any one love him and as this story unwinds you will find out why and it will break your heart . I cried through last three or four chapters of this book . Some of the crying was due to being happy and some was of being sad . If you are a reader this is a must read . I picked this book up at a book sale in one of our local bookstores a few months ago and I have just now gotten around to reading it however, it will be one of those books that I will read again in a couple of years .

Half Nekkid Thursday!

Happy HNT all ! Today I still don't have a pic but teh part I am going to talk about is my tongue (sorry that is the only thing I could think of). I was blessed with one of those extrememly long tongues . I can touch my nose or my chin with it . My kids like to make fun of my long tongue and babies don't know what to think . My husband has alot to say about my tongue but none of it is appropriate for here ! LOL! Y'all have a good HNT! I will have pics soon , I promise!

Finally ...

Good Tuesday morning to you! I am sitting here watching Good Morning America with my belly full of cookie crisp cereal and I actually feel pretty good for the first time in almost a week . I can breathe through my nose , can you believe it ? LOL! Today will be a good day . We are supposed to get some much needed rain and I have the car pool for Girl Scouts tonight . My son had a baseball game last night and they won YAY GO ORANGE TEAM!!! He also has a game tonight but I will not be able to attend because of Girl Scouts . We have been getting my 10year old daughter ready for her 5th grade field trip to Tremount next week . She will be gone for three days and two nights on this trip and she is so excited about it . My 13 year old daughter will be going to Nashville with Beta in November and she is going to try to compete in the talent competition they have each year . She will be playing her fiddle with a couple of her friends who play the banjo , guitar and mandolin .

BLECH!!!!!

Hey all ! I don't have much to say today . I am sick once again , I can't believe it ! I am scared of the winter months now because that is when most people get sick but I seem to be getting my sickness out during the summer and fall this year(I hope) . I have coughed so much that I am sore from the top of my head down to the bottom of my ribs . I do however have some cough syrup , doctor perscribed, that has percocet in it. So I spend half my time higher than a kite and the other half passed out . On top of being sick with the crud or whatever I have , my allergies are also flaring up , thanks to the ragweed ! Anyways , I hope y'all have a good day ! :)

My beloved Vols lost to the Gators last night with a final score of 16-7. The Vols had way too many mistakes and they didn't play very well after the first quater. Maybe they can pull if off next year . I heard on the radio the other day that in six years the North Carolina Tarheels will once again be on the Vols schedule . Even though they lost we still had a good time with our quests . Y'all take care !

GO TENNESSEE VOLS !!

Tonight is the night for the Tennessee Volunteers to once again face the Florida Gators . As most Tennesseans , I am praying for a huge victory for the Vols . We will be playing down in The Swamp tonight and I hope we kick ass and take names later ! Anyways , we are having a few guests over for a small football bash which is something that has become a tradition for us in the past few years. We are having my son's birthday party at 5 and then it is on . We will start the grill , throw some burgers on and have a blast . Of course all of this will be even better if we get to scream our heads off if the VOLS win .

Okay , I don't have a pic to show so I am going to take a friends advice and tell you about me . This is the first time I have ever participated in HNT!

I will start at my head and work my way down . I have dark blonde hair that is now curly and has been for about four weeks now and it is shoulder length . My face is oval in shape , my forehead is average size, my eyes are a weird green that look like they are glowing yellow when I cry or I am really tired . My eyebrows are small and always waxed , my nose is not skinny but not thick either and it is average in length . I have high cheek bones due to a bit of indian in me , my lips are the one thing I am not real pleased with . I think they are flat but my husband disagrees with me , I have a small chin, my neck is an average neck , as far as breast are concerned , I got my fair share . I haven't been happy with my bellybutton for about 11 years which I had to have emergency surgery and they went through the bottom of my bellybutton . Nobody can see the scar unless you are within a few inches of it but I still don't like it . I have always had a bubble butt , my legs are as long as anyone elses , they reach from my butt to the ground . I have very strong legs and they have always been not thick but well muscled . I wear a size 6 1/2 shoe , my skin is not white as in a new sheet but more like a darker cream color . I stand at 5'2" and that is about all that I can tell you about myself . Happy HNT!!!!!

I would like to give a special birthday shout-out to my son Ty today he is 8 years old . Ty has a very busy schedule today starting with homework after school , baseball game at 6 , GO TEAM ORANGE!!!!!, back home for a shower and then we will go eat at a restaraunt of Ty's choosing . After all that Ty will get to open one gift when we return home from dinner then he will be off to bed . Anyways , I just wanted to do something special for him as I have done for my two other children on their birthdays this year .

Ty I am so honored to have you as my son . You and I are really close buddies and I hope we always stay that way . You know how you asked Dad the other day when you would get tall like him , well I want you to know that no matter how big or tall you get you will always be my baby boy . I love you very much and look forward to watching you grow into a man and someday have a family of your own . I love you very much .

A Celebration !

Today my family and I got to share something with someone that we didn't think would ever happen . What did we do ?

First of all you all know that my grandmother is ill and near death , well today was her 92nd birthday . Yeah I am so thankful that we had the chance to celebrate another year of life with her . She might not know what is going on but it meant alot to me for me and my children to be there for what is her last birthday . Every week I wonder if by this time next week she will still be with us and in a way I hope not because it hurts to see her the way she is now . She has always been a hardworking , smart woman who has always been alight with life . It is so heart wrenching to see that light slowly snuffed out . Anyways , I am so thankful for getting the opportunity to spend the day with her today .

Y'all stop by tomorrow because I am having a party on my blog for my son . Tomorrow is his 8th birthday and since he is a great reader I am going to bring him on and let him read everything and I am going to let him comment as well . See y'all for the party tomorrow and be safe ! :)

I just thought I would update a bit here . I have a few ideas with some new posts and things for my blog but it will have to wait until a later time because I have way too much on my plate right now and I don't have alot of computer time these past days. I have mentioned that my grandmother is ill and near death and we are down to the last string of the journey with her . It is soooooo hard to see her getting worse . We found out on Wednesday night that she has pneumonia now and it won't be long . Her bodily functions are shutting down and I cherish every moment that I get with her . Last night I clipped her nails and filed them and she talked a bit to me but she doesn't really know who anyone is anymore and it is just hard so if you are a person who prays , please keep her and my family in your prayers . Anyways , the kids are coming in from school so I am going to go make snacks and go over weekly papers . Y'all have fun this weekend and be safe ! :)

YAY!

The Vols won yesterday against UAB with a final score of 17-10 ! GO VOLS!! Even though they won , they didn't play well but they pulled off the win . My family and I went camping yesterday after church and we had a wonderful time . In the campground where our RV is all of the people are so nice . They treat you like family , plus we have some friends that also own RV's there . We had a really good time and I was not ready to see the weekend end.

FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE !!

In 15 hours and 55 minutes my beloved Volunteers will be starting the season in Neyland Stadium , better know as "The Big House" . I am very excited and I will be glued to the tv during the game cheering my team on . I am going camping tonight and I will return tomorrow night and I will do a post on the score of the game . One thing you will learn about me during football season is that I will not miss a game . I will either view it on tv or live every single Saturday . Anyways , for those of you who are Vol fans , let's get the party started!
