getting there ...

I am so excited about Thanksgiving . As I have said before , I will be cooking for 20-25 people and I can't wait ! This may sound crazy but the past few years really hasn't felt like Thanksgiving because it has been unusually warm or cold with the sun shining brightly . To me Thanksgiving day is supposed to be cold and dreay if I am lucky ,rainy and windy all day . Up until about four years ago that is how our Thanksgiving day weather was and it just seems more cozy for every one to be indoors enjoying each others company over a nice huge meal.

Our meteorologists are saying that it will start clouding up on Tuesday and getting colder and on Thursday it will be a dreary , rainy day with a chance of snow showers. I am so ready for it!! Bring it on because I am ready for some family time people !!! My mom has been away living with my grandmother for two years now and it just hasn't felt like the holidays but now she has just moved back home and I am so ready for that family feeling from my childhood.

We are hoping to get a surprise on Thanksgiving . My husbands younger brother just got out of the Marine Corps and we are hoping that they are just not telling us that they are coming home . We want them to join us for Thanksgiving as well . We have not got to see them on Thanksgiving since they were married almost 5 years ago. Anyways , my excitement is building and I am ready for the days to fly until Thursday! I hope all of you have good plans with your family for this holiday !

busy , busy , busy ....

Hey all! I thought I better post something on here while I am taking a break . Jodes I am ok , thank you for asking . I am sick of traveling on Thanksgiving so I decided to invite everyone to our house this year . My husband is about to kill me because I keep asking them to help me clean , he says that if we clean much more the floor and walls will be worn through from cleaning . hehe oops !

It is also this time of year that I make my kids go through all of their belongings to pick the things they want and the things they never touch so that we can get some of the things out to have room for the new stuff on Christmas .

On Thanksgiving night , after everyone goes home , Mr. Breazy , the kids and I will then decorate the house for Christmas . The first thing we do is put the tree up and decorate it . We always have so much fun , but in order to do this my furninture has to be re-arranged so that I have nothing in front of the huge window in the living room where our tree goes each year.

I have been cleaning out everything since yesterday , and yes my cleaning obsession is on a high right now . If it were for just cleaning for our guests then that wouldn't be a problem because my house stays pretty much spotless all the time , but I always like to go through everything that we have so that we can get rid of things we don't use , don't need , can't wear or whatever be the case .

Anyways, I read Jodes comment asking if I am ok and I thought that I would post to let you all know what I am up to . I do all of this now so that I am not overwhelmed with it all next week while trying to cook . I will be making pies on Tuesday and Wednesday night . My mom and I usually make pies and we give extras to family and friends . Last year I didn't make pies so this year I am going to make up for it . So , y'all have a good day and if I don't talk to you before then Happy Thanksgiving !

an anwered prayer & more praying ...

If you read my earlier post then you know that my papaw had his leg amputated today . The doctors didn't think he would make it through the surgery because of his weak heart but my mom called me around 4:30 or 5:00pm and told me he pulled through . YAY! The doctors say he should be home in four or five days .

I also talked about the weather in my earlier post . About storms that are supposed to move through tonight . This afternoon they told us that the storms should weaken before reaching us then around 7:50pm I was listening to the radio in the van on my way to pick my daughter up and they said to batten down the hatches because the storm is strengthening and they expect it to be worse than they first thought . Keep Bsoholic in your thoughts and or prayers because he is located in Nashville and they are getting hammered right now . We are talking tornadoes , hail , winds and torrential rains . Just say a little prayer for his safety and that of his family . Follow my link to Bs's blog and read his post , lets all band together and do as he says ... hehe.

I am so happy and I wanted to spread the good news about my papaw but I need to go and make sure all the kids get their baths taken and all that . I am trying to get them in bed before the storms hit because they are all terrified of storms . Bsoholic , you be safe buddy . unpredictable ..

This is the 6 day forecast for East Tennessee . You never really know what you are going to wake up to around here . One day it will be hot and the next it is cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey . For instance the last few days have been in the upper 60's to lower 70's for a high and in the 50's for lows . Today is supposed to be partly cloudy with a 30% chance of rain . We have a cold front moving through and they are expecting some severe storms to start here tonight and stick around until tomorrow night . No wonder everybody is walking around all stuffed up and their allergies bothering them . Our bodies can't adjust to all the changes in the weather because they happen so quickly . And yes I am just rambling if you were wondering . I am staying close to home today for two reasons . One being that my son went back to school after having the stomach flu yesterday and two because my papaw is having surgery today . They are amputating his right leg from the knee down .

The doctors have been trying to do this surgery since last monday (11-7-05) but couldn't because of the fluid in or around my papaws lungs . The reason they are amputating is because he had a sore to come up on his foot that , even with special home care, has got worse and worse . They discovered during a regular doctors visit a couple of weeks ago that the affected area had gangrene in it . I might need to mention that my papaw is a severe diabetic and therefore it is hard for any type of injury etc.. to heal . There is a very slim chance that he will survive the surgery because not even 50% of his heart is working properly .

They are supposed to take him into surgery at 10am this morning and I can't go over there because I am afraid that I will pass the stomach flu to him and I don't want to make things worse for him . Mr. Breazy and I did go visit him on saturday . We stayed and chatted with him for quiet some time and it was really hard to leave because I knew that it could be the last time that I might see him alive . Anyways , I am at home trying to keep myself busy so that I don't worry myself silly . So far that is the extent of my day and I am hoping to recieve a phone call with good news on my papaw later . Hope y'all have a good day and thanks for listening to me go on and on . As you can tell I am a bit nervous and off my rocker so to speak .

it's monday .... already ?

I am not doing much today other than taking care of my sick little son . He has caught the stomach flu that the rest of us passed around in the past two weeks . Today was his yearly well check visit with his pediatrician and she wrote him out of school for the rest of the day because he was not feeling well at all. So we are watching Lazy Town on Nickelodeon and snuggling on the couch under a warm blanket . It is a dark , dreary , rainy day here and perfect for snuggling .

Where does time go ? My kids are growing so fast . It seems like it has been a long time since my son and I have had a day to just sit and snuggle and enjoy one anothers company . The girls are always snuggling on the couch with me but my son doesn't snuggle unless he is in the mood or sick . I love watching my kids grow and become their own person but at the same time I know that they will not be up for snuggling and hanging out with mom and dad much longer . I want to see my kids make their own life but at the same time I miss the days when they were just babies and I could rock and sing to them . Time seems to speed up every year that goes by . Anyways . how is your day ?

There is a Shell station about three miles from where I live that is owned and operated by an Iranian . I do not go into to this store because the gentlemen that owns it is very rude . Today my hubby stopped to some supplies and the secretary gave him this memo to pass on to everyone . Even though only one of you live close to me , I thought this was an interesting story therefore brings forth the reason I am posting it . The memo reads ...

One day last week the Iranian owner refused an American soldier service.
When the soldier placed his items on the counter at the register the Iranian told him " we do not serve American soldiers here ". Several people were standing in line behind the soldier and heard the encounter therefore they placed their items on the counter and walked out .

This Iranian that refused the American soldier service is also the man that was almost beat to death when he was broadcasting the tragedy of 9/11 and laughing about it . A customer didn't like it that he was laughing at our tragedy and he let the Iranian know it .

How is this guy still in business in East Tennessee with us good ole' Patriotic rednecks living here ? I don't use this store anyway , just thought some of you would like to know what we have in our back yard .

not so Happy HNT .....sorry !

I am sorry but I do not have a HNT pic to post . For some reason blogger is being an ass and won't load the pic I want . Anyways , I am not really in the mood for it or anything else for that matter . Let me explain ..

Today around 6pm our neighbor brought over a business letter from a loan company that had my hubby's name on it and our mail lady had accidentally put it in his box . This puzzled us because first off , we haven't applied for anything lately and second , we have never heard of this loan company . My husband brings the letter in and opens it . I am doing some spreadsheets on the computer and waiting for him to tell me what it is all about . I look up and he is pale and not speaking . I asked him what it was and he told me it was a denial letter for a loan . Okay but remember , we haven't applied for anything . The letter stated that the reason for denial was bankruptcy , foreclosure and repossession . WHAT ?????? We haven't filed bankruptcy and we own nothing that can be foreclosed on and we pay for everything we have , no late payments so how can we have a repossession ?

No wonder my hubby was pale . My mind was still moving quickly when my hubby looks up and says " you don't get it do you " and I said "hush , I am thinking of who to call to get this straightened out " . We know a couple that has been known to use other peoples credit without asking . This couple is related to my hubby and they are in the middle of a huge bankruptcy and after several phone calls , to close relatives , we found out that the mortgage company just foreclosed on their $350,000 home . OMG !!!! Please tell me they didn't do what we think they did !
This couple has already lost their first home which was worth about the same amount as this one . They are in real estate and the home that they are currently living in was one they built that wouldn't sell . When I say they are in a huge bankruptcy I am not joking , they are in debt almost a million bucks .

It was so late in the evening that the loan company wasn't opened so we have to wait until tomorrow to find out what we need to do to get this straightened out . First we have to find out if this is a mistake on the loan company's part or if my hubby's relatives have actually used our credit to purchase a few things . Please don't think that I am jumping the gun here because this couple has been known to use other peoples credit and they are both very computer intelligent . Getting someones social security # is childs play to them . I am very nervous and I doubt I will sleep at all tonight . The really scary thing about this whole ordeal is that we have always rented a home and we finally decided a couple of months ago to take the plunge and buy . About a week ago we found a house that fits our needs and budget also it is in the same school district as we live in now . We haven't filled out an application for a mortgage on the home yet because the homeowners are in Mexico on vacation and the agent can't show us the house until they return . So , y'all cross your fingers for us that the credit thing is all a big mistake on the loan companys part .

What a difference a day makes ..

Yesterday was a not so good day for me because I didn't feel so well but today seems to be much better . I got some sleep last night and it worked wonders for me . I have got alot done already this morning as I have been doing laundry and some of my accounting that I have put off for a few days . The Gateway repairman is coming by today or tomorrow to replace my dvd/cd drive ...YAY!

I heard on the radio this morning that if you live in the state of Tennessee and you have been worrying about the cost of gas or oil to heat your home this winter , you should worry no more . All of the fuel providers for home heating have been ordered to creat a plan that will allow their clients a 12 month payment plan also a new law has been passed that your fuel provider cannot cut off your gas/oil over the weekend or if the temperature falls below 32 degrees F. I thought the new plan and law is a wonderful idea because the cost of gas to heat your home has increased 50% more than last year and if you have oil your cost increased 30 to 50% more than last year .

Early Saturday morning there was a house fire in Roane County Tennessee that claimed the lives of six . Two of those being adults , the other four were children , two of which were there for a sleepover . No reason has been discovered as to why the fire occurred . The fire investigators and firemen did find that there were no smoke detectors in the home . The couple who lived there had two young sons , which parished in the fire , one age 9 the other age 5 . The other two children are believed to be close to the same ages . This story struck me as odd . I mean I don't know how everyone else is but we have smoke detectors all over the house and the batteries are checked in them each month when our electric bill comes . The fire department is currently doing an investigation on the ash and rubble that was left but so far they aren't telling the media their findings .

Blech! I have had one of those days where you just want to crawl back in bed and try again in the morning . I tried to go back to bed after dropping the kids at school but everybody and their neighbor decided to call me this morning so that idea got thrown out real quick. My mom called and that doesn't bother me because I don't get to talk to her as much as I would like and I miss her . So I have basically been part of the furniture today .

The weather here in beautiful East Tennessee is wild . It was 75 today ! 75...in November ...what the....? Our meteorologists are saying that when we have warm weather this late in the year we normally have a very cold winter with several small snows . I will believe it when I see it . All I have to say to that is bring it on ! I could use several small snows .

We are getting Chesney , my 13yr old, ready to go to Convention with the BETA club . They are going to Nashville for four days and will return on November 23rd . She is so excited about going .

Not much else happening in my neck of the woods , how about yours?

Happy ramblings..

I can't remember if I talked about this or not but a couple of months ago my 10 yr old had been reaching for something on my desk and accidentally bumped the eject button on the cd/dvd tray . When the tray opened she panicked and closed it with her hand . I didn't find this out until the next day . My husband was home with the kids when this incident took place (go figure) . Over the past two months I have talked to people and messed around with it trying to see if I could figure out the problem . Sometimes I will be on the computer and you can hear the drive start , the green light comes on and that is it , keep in mind there is no cd in it when it does this . Today I finally bought a printer , copier , scanner and when I got home I realized that I couldn't install it because of the tray being messed up so I finally took the time to call Gateway .

The Gateway rep was awesome and she walked me through step by step how to take the bay apart and check the hook ups to the drive . While talking to her my cordless phone went dead because evidentally my daughter has been on the phone all day . I get our regular phone get it hooked up and call back . I was lucky the second time as well because I talked to another great rep. Finally after taking the bay apart four times we discovered that the drive itself is bad so they have ordered the parts , called a repairman and by the end of this week I should be good to go . Don't you love reliable warranties ? I am really enjoying the fact that this service is costing me nothing due to my warranty . I have had this computer for only three months and I never dreamed that I would have to use the warranty because I am really strict about my new computer , I mean there are two other comps in the house , ya know ! Anyways , that is how my weekend is going , how is your weekend going ?

The cab driver just drives away.""I go home, and when I get there, I find my wife in bed with the gardener. I leave home, and come to this bar. And just when I was thinking about putting an end to my life, you show up and drink my poison."

I was flipping through some old photos the other night and I found the picture that I posted below. I wasn't sure about posting it until I let a friend have a peak and he said for me to go for it . This picture was taken in Panama City , Florida and I was with a friend , which is in the actual pic but I don't think she would appreciate being shown on the net . Iwas much younger than I am now . This is actually a post card that was taken by a photographer who was walking the beach looking for two girls to photograph. My friends mother had to sign for this and we were paid a small amount for doing this . Anyways , that is my HNT photo! Enjoy!

Oh what a night ....

I had a horrible night . I decided to go to bed early , this was my first mistake . In the first two hours of sleep I was woke up three times . One of those three times was my son who had a bad dream so he got in bed with me and my hubby went to my sons bed . Bethany , my 10yr old, has a Bratz doll alarm clock that will wake the dead when it alarms and it just so happened that it alarmed at 4:30 this morning . Then my hubby came and got back in bed with our son and I at 5 something . My alarm was set for 6 and I finally said what the hell and got up . I told Bethany , once I finally got her awake , that if her clock ever goes off before mine again , it will be history . I was ready to bash that thing at 4:30 this morning but didn't because she loves the annoying thing. After all of our kids were up and getting ready my hubby says to me " you are pmsing aren't you" my reply was "HELL NO!!!!" . My problem is being woke up a thousand times in one damn night . I can't help the fact that I am a light sleeper and he could be picked up by a tornado and carried a hundred miles and it still wouldn't wake him up. He offered to take the kids to school and I was in full agreement with that because I had one thing on my mind and that was my bed . After my hubby leaves I go back bed and wouldn't ya know , I couldn't go back to sleep . So I am moving very slowly today , I have a small throbbing headache that is almost gone and I am getting closer to my normal self by the hour . Tonight I am staying up until 2 am and there won't be a sound , I will be able to get 4 hrs of peaceful sleep !

Halloween.

Happy Halloween ! I have spent the weekend watching the scary shows and movies that were on tv because that is about all I have been able to do . Chesney ,my 13yr old, came home from school thursday not feeling well and she woke up friday morning barfing . Wouldn't ya know that by saturday night she was feeling better and I was praying to the porcelain god . BLECH!!!! By late yesterday evening I was starting to feel human again and this morning I am feeling fine , thank goodness. After church last night my two other kids went to a Halloween party /sleep over that was hosted by one of the mothers that helped with our retreat a couple weeks ago . I am excited about taking the kids trick or treating tonight . Normally our last stop of the night is at my father-in-laws house in Townsend . It is really creepy up there because he lives in the woods and the kids love going there because my in laws always plan a little something special for them . Tonight my hubby and I will be driving a witch and a firefighter around . I wish all of you a safe and Happy Halloween !

Before I go I have one question. Who forgot to set their clocks back saturday night? hehe

don't worry .. hell hasn't frozen over yet ..

Tennessee Vols got beat again . By one damn point ! Why don't they pull their heads out of their asses and play some fricking ball ? Oh well maybe sometime this year they will grab a win , yeah right only if hell freezes over !

Happy Hump Day & Weirdo Wednesday News

Happy Hump Day all! Wow , we are half way through the week . It will be Monday again before we know it.

Every morning as I am taking my kids to school I listen to our local country station(107.7 WIVK) because they have the best morning show(Andy & Allison) . On Wednesday they find weird news stories and tell us about them and this morning the highlight of the show was a first birthday party for a child in Connecticut that turned bad. During the party a neighbor shows up and complains about the noise and all hell breaks loose , knives are pulled and several are stabbed . What the ..... ? I wanted to call my mom and ask if any of our relatives had moved to Connecticut any time lately! Their new motto is "we put the CUT in Connecticut" ! I really do have family members like these . Just yesterday my husband was reading the arrests in our paper , two of my cousins were arrested for fighting each other and another cousin was arrested for forgery. That is just an ordinary day in their lives and before you can ask , NO I am nothing like them . I have never been arrested for anything and the only time I was in trouble with the police was on a road trip and they pulled me over in Virginia for doing 96 in a 65. That one sure hurt my wallet ! The funny thing about it was , I had my brother-in-law the Marine with me , he was the reason I was in Virginia. The only other time I was in trouble was in Texas . My mother-in-law and I were on our way back from my bro-in-laws and I was driving my 2002 Monte Carlo SS when a state trooper decided to harass me a bit . He followed me for over thirty minutes and then hit the lights , I immediately pulled over and he came sliding in behind me sideways with his spotlight on me . I was not a happy camper! The reason he used for pulling me over was that the light above my license plate was out and he wrote me a ticket for that for $200 then he wouldn't except my proof of insurance . He wrote me a $385 ticket for that . I went straight to the first Wal-Mart off the interstate to purchase the small bulb to go above my license plate and when I got out of my car and walked around the back , guess what I found ? My frickin light was working fine !! I bought a two pack of them anyway and called my insurance company when I got home so they could fax all of my info to Texas and I had them fax the reciept for the bulbs as well . I didn't pay a dime of those of tickets .

Anyways , that is enough of my rambling , how is your day going ?

heat & other things...

If you read my post yesterday you will know that the thermastat in my minivan went out yesterday morning and I froze my back regions off while transporting my children to school . Today I opened the garage door and pulled out the Buick Park Avenue that we have and oh it was so good to have heat . It was colder this morning than it was yesterday . We are getting a bit of rain and wind here and there was no way I was going to drive the van without heat.

We are gearing up and getting ready for Halloween around here and some friends and I got together and planned a sleep over party for all the kids in the church on Sunday night because our county schools are out on Monday . None of the kids have any idea about this party and they are going to love it . My kids wanted me to do a huge Halloween party here at my house but I decided we would just do a fun fright night this Friday with just our kids. I am not trying to be mean by not inviting anyone but I feel like the surprise sleep over will be enough. Besides all that , I have promised myself that I am sleeping late on Saturday , which means maybe 8 am if I can sleep that long .

This is my favorite time of year and I have to admit that I like all the cold , blustery days that we have in fall and winter . What is going to really mess with me is when time changes this coming Saturday night , I am just thankful that we gain an hour instead of loose one . I have already started on my christmas shopping and I am hoping to be mostly done by Thanksgiving except for maybe some smaller things for our kids. I am thinking about buying my husband another acoustic guitar for christmas . He use to play alot when we first met 15 years ago and we just bought my 10 yr old one and he plays it a bit so I think I will get him one for christmas. I am still shopping around for a banjo to purchase , I am not in a hurry because the man that I want to take lessons from is booked solid for now.

Anyways , that is all that is going on in my neck of the woods for now . I think I am going to go back to bed for an hour or so and try to get some peaceful sleep that I didn't seem to get last night . How is your day going ? Good I hope ! :)

It's Monday ......... already?

Wow time flies when you are busy .. er.. um having fun . Where did the weekend go? I am not doing much today except trying to keep myself talked out of going back to bed. It is cold , rainy and dreary here and to me that spells G-O B-A-C-K T-O B-E-D ! LOL! I started my van up a few minutes early so it would be warm when we left and to my surprise the thermostat in my van is going out so the only time I have heat is if I am driving down a road without stops . This morning I froze my arse off because both the elementary and middle schools that my kids attend are both only a mile away in different directions , which means lots of stop and gos in the mornings. We do have the heat on in the house but I haven't been able to get warm all day and if I grab a blanket then I will be snoring in no time! Anyways, I am not doing much today except a small bit of laundry so I will be in and out here in the blog world . If you see me on yahoo , give me a yell ! Have a good day! :)

Mountain top experience..

I have really debated about doing this post . If you read my previous post then you know what I am talking about . As I have said before I am a christian and I am not the type to force my beliefs on anyone but there are some things in my life that I don't talk about on here because I don't want anyone to back away from me because they are afraid I am going to "start on them about God" . You can call me a bible thumper , Jesus freak or anything of that nature and I will have to tell you that yes I am! I hope that I don't offend anyone by doing this post but several people were really curious about the experience I had this weekend that I mentioned in my previous post so I am going to post about it on here. Here goes...

I left Wednesday night after church headed towards a cabin in the mountains that the youth in our church rented for our fall retreat . We were scheduled to have nine adults , all of which had children there , to teach , cook , clean or what ever was needed . Wednesday night was just for the workers and their children so that we could get everything unpacked and settled before the rest of the kids arrived the next day. I have never been on one of these retreats much less worked one . We had 20 kids in all ranging between the ages of 10 months old to 16 years old . The whole time we were there all of the kids were very well behaved and we had a wonderful time . All of the lessons were really good and on Thursday night we had an 18 year old preacher up to preach a message to the kids . On Friday night we took them to the Passion Play then on Saturday they went to Tuchaleechee Caverns and then we had another preacher up that night . On Friday after one of the lessons was taught there were three children who got saved and then on Saturday after another lesson there were two more kids saved.

I really loved being there and getting to know everyone better outside of church . It was hard work preparing three meals and three snacks a day for 20 kids but we had a huge kitchen and it was all well worth it to me . I didn't mind any of the cleaning that we had to do or anything else. I knew that I had been blessed while there at the cabin but I didn't realize how much until we came back in time for service on Sunday morning . Before I get into this let me explain something . I sit in church and I get so excited that I can only cry and it has begun to feel like a dam that is backing up lately so I asked my pastor to pray for God to make me shout or something because I had to get this out of me and I didn't know how . That was on Wednesday night when I asked the first time and then I asked again on Thursday when the pastor and his wife came up to the cabin for a visit . I am a very emotional person anyway and I cry whether I am happy , sad or sometimes just because I feel I need to but when I cry in church it is a completely different kind of happy .

I woke up Sunday morning in a grumpy kind of mood . I snapped at my husband two times before we were completely loaded and ready to head down off the mountain and then later I apologized . I was shaky and a bit jumpy because I felt something different in me and I didn't know what it was and I couldn't begin to start guessing . By the time we pulled in the church parking lot I was already happy and crying with the weird feeling still with me . All of the kids and adults who worked the retreat were supposed to get up in the choir box and sing a couple of songs and then one by one we had to tell what we had got out of the retreat. I was the 27th person to speak and when they handed the microphone to me I looked out at the crowd and said "first of all I want to thank God for saving me " , after saying that I couldn't say anything for crying . All the while I can feel something building in me and finally I look up and say " I am sorry but my cup runneth over" that is the last thing that I remember saying until I heard someone shout and it took about two seconds for me to realize that it was me shouting . By the time I figured out that it was me, another shout tore out of my throat . I can't explain that feeling . It was like I was watching from outside my body but at the same time I was feeling it . I have never felt anything that felt so spirirtually fulfilling . I am still floating around on cloud nine . I can't believe that God chose to shout little ole me ! Even though I had been praying for it and I had asked my Pastor to pray for it , I was still surprised and overwhelmed about it all . I am craving that feeling again and I hope that I shout again soon . I wished that each and every person I come in contact with could know that feeling that I had while shouting and then afterwards . It was like in that moment I had an intimate moment with God . That is the only way I can explain it . If any of you have ever experience anything like this please let me know . I would love to hear about it . Since Sunday morning , I have noticed that my thoughts are different , I am watching what I say and how I say it , I am more positive than before and I have been in my bible searching for more inspirational scripture than before . I am calling this my mountain top experience because something happened to me on that mountain that has completely changed me and I am loving it . Btw.. the theme of our retreat was " I Go To The Rock" !

I hope I didn't offend any of you for posting this but if I did I can't apologize for it. The only thing that I can apologize for is that you have never had an experience that made you feel like I am feeling right now . I sit here with tears running down my face just telling you all about it . I have chill bumps all over my body and I feel spiritually satisfied for the first time . WOW! A small apology..

I wanted to tell you all that I am sorry I didn't post today but I couldn't think of anything to post about and what I want to post about would probably make all of you back away from me. No I don't want to post anything bad about anyone . During my time away I experienced something that humbled me in the hugest way and I don't feel like I can talk about it on here without getting laughed at or made fun of . I missed reading all of you while I was away and I am going to try to take the time to catch back up sometime this week . If any of you want to know about my experience that has me looking at my life in a different way then email me and I will tell you all about it . Anyways , I guess I will gab at all of you later ! :)

Fall Youth Retreat

You don't have to be a Jesus freak to read this however , I am a Jesus freak and I would appreciate it if you kept all negative thoughts to yourself. I am not posting this to try and convert anyone because I am not one to judge others especially on their beliefs . I just wanted to tell all of you about my long weekend . I hope you enjoy .

I left after church on Wednesday night going to our cabin we rented for the youth retreat . It was in Townsend near Tuchaleechee Caverns , way up on a mountain . Our cabin looked out over a small , beautiful valley. The veiw was breathtaking . Only the workers and their children were allowed to come on Wednesday night and the rest of the children came up on a bus on Thursday . Including myself we had 9 adults and 20 kids. We had one child that will be 2 in December, two 5 year olds ,four 8 year olds ,seven 10 year olds, five 13 year olds (all girls) and one 16 year old (boy). Twlve of the kids belonged to different workers . All of the children were so well behaved the whole time we were there. Our daily routine went something like this : breakfast, craft time , free time , lesson , lunch , craft time , lesson , free time , supper , preaching , reflection time , snack time , hot tub time, free time , bedtime . It all went so smoothly and on schedule . The theme of our retreat was : I Go To The Rock. We had 5 children to get saved while we were there . I can't explain how this retreat blessed my heart . I had not really had time to get know several of the adults and kids outside of church and this allowed me to get to know them . It was great ! We arrived back at church yesterday in time for morning service and it was awesome . We had a bunch of songs to sing for the church and it turned out really good . We were all given the chance to talk about what we got out of the retreat . I was extremely blessed yesterday and I feel so wonderful to have taken part in something like the retreat . On Friday night we took the kids to see the Passion Play and on Saturday they went to Tuchaleechee Caverns . Each craft time , meal time , snack time or any time that we gathered at the table we had a little something special for the kids . We all had a great time and I can't wait until the Spring Retreat !

a taste of true fear ..

Most days I am reading everyones blog posts early in the morning but today it has been different . I had an extremely long night last night . The story goes like this ..

My 13 yr old daughter , Chesney , went Sunday to a friends for a sleep over . My sons baseball party was scheduled for 6:30 yesterday evening and I had told Chesney that I would pick her up around 5:30 . I went to pick her up and she had just got out of the shower . Her hair was still wet and she had her p.j.'s on and she was walking a bit stiffly . My first thought was that she had been up later than normal the night before and they had just lazily hung out for the day . I also noticed that Chesney was trying not to turn her right side towards me and as I was about to ask her why her friends mother told her to tell me what happened. My daughter had a bad 4 wheeler wreck just minutes before I arrived. I immediately made her pull her shirt and turn circles so I could check her out . The first thought through my head was "EMERGENCY ROOM, NOW" but Chesney assured me she was okay. After going home Chesney said she didn't want to go to the party because she hadn't had time to dry and straighten her hair , which is a must before entering public to her. Our landlord was trimming our shrubbery so I asked if she would keep an eye on Chesney for an hour or so . We were only at the party for around an hour then we came home . I told Chesney that I felt real uneasy about the scrapes and scratches on her right side and back and I thought we needed to go on to the ER . She didn't want to go , of course . She was sitting on the couch and I told her to come over to me and let me look again. OMG!!!! My daughter winced in pain as she tried to get off the couch and watching her walk made me hurt . I asked my husband to walk her to the van because I was taking her in . We got to the ER and they were jammed and as we sat there the pain was getting worse for my daughter . Finally after 2 hours and 45 minutes they called us back . The took exrays and checked her out real good and they kept asking her about the actual wreck . They were really concerned about her right hip and pelvic bone because she couldn't hardly walk and she was hurting terribly bad . What took place was my daughter was making a right turn and she cut to sharply and it flipped her off the atv into a ditch . She landed on her left side and the atv bounced off her right hip/back area . The exrays came back and everything was fine , not even a hair line fracture . The doctor couldn't believe it . He told Chesney that she better be thanking God because by all rights she should have had a shattered pelvic and hip bone . When she woke up this morning her side and back are black from bruising and it looks awful and she isn't walking so well but the doctors told her that she would be more sore for the next couple of days .

I told her that if she ever even thought of getting on an atv ,or anything of it's kind, that I would beat her and she would wish she had wrecked ! I was so scared . And to beat all , my daughter the straight A student wasn't wearing a helmet !!!! WTF???????? We finally were released from the ER about 2 this morning with a perscription for some mild pain pills .

Adderall XR

If you have read any of my previous posts then you know that my son is ADHD combined type , sever case . You would also know that he is not sleeping at night due to being undermedicated . He had an appointment with the pediatrician this morning and the first step that we are going to take to help him sleep is upping the milligrams he takes each day . So he will be taking 20mg instead of 15.The pediatrician said that he needs to come back in one month or if he isn't sleeping still then he needs to come sooner , so for now he has an appointment in a month. I am hoping that this helps because it is really starting to wear him down . He is exhausted all the time and he told me Saturday night that he couldn't keep going much longer in school if this routine keeps up . I am so proud of him because through all of this , the evaluation , diagnosis and finally being medicated he has not let his grades drop below a B . He has A's and B's and he is having to work so hard to get them right now because of the exhaustion. He was diagnosed in April of this year and he has adjusted really well with everything that we have to do .

We are so blessed to have the councler and pediatrician that we have . They both keep such a close eye on him and the meds and that eases my mind alot .
We deal more with the hyperactive than anything. Before he started taking Adderall XR he would itch all over and if I put lotion on him it would just irritate him more , he had a huge problem with tags and seams in clothes . If you know anything about ADD/ADHD then you know that these irritations are labeled as "ticks" . Since he started the meds most of the ticks are gone for instance , he has started wearing his regular underwear again instead of boxer briefs . There are less seams in boxer briefs and that is why we changed to them . He doesn't itch any more and he is more alert than before. I was really concerned when he was first diagnosed because I wasn't into the medication process but I am more at ease since I have the pediatrician and the specialist which I call councler . I read everything that I can get my hands on about ADD/ADHD and I have learned so much . There are small things that we do that makes a world of difference for my son such as , keeping a consistant routine each day , week and so on . Home is a safe port for my son and he will act better at home than out in public. Don't get me wrong , he is pretty well behaved but he prefers to be home more than anywhere.

In April the dr. started my son on 10 mg a day of Adderall XR and by the middle of July she bumped him up to 15mg . We have saw a huge difference in him since then and the only problem is him not being able to sleep. What I mean when I say not sleep is that he has trouble going to sleep and what is happening is his brain won't shut down so he can't go to sleep and when it finally does, his sleep is fitful . Think about a rough work week and how you feel on Friday . That is how my son feels everday . He goes to his room each night around 8pm and he tries to go to sleep to no avail . Here in the past few weeks , if he goes to sleep before 11pm then we can call that an early night . Anyways , I will quit gabbing about my son and his problems and I bid you all a good day .

hangin' around the house and Amityville Murders..

I use to be a person who loved to be out in the car going anywhere but in the last year , due to the busy schedule that I have had , I now am an official homebody. I love for us to stay at home and do nothing except spend good quality time together. So last night Mr. Breazy was going with a friend to attend a revival with one of our local churches and the kids and I stayed home . I bought Amityville Horror this week and I couldn't wait to watch it but the kids had to be in bed before I could view the movie. The kids and I made homemade pizza , baked cookies , got the halloween decorations out and settled in for a kidlike fright night . We watched Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone on the disney channel and munched on pizza and cookies .It was great ! After the kids went to bed I watched Amityville Horror alone . It was a good movie but they added a few things here and there but all in all it was an okay movie . The funny thing about that movie is that everyone believes that the house was really possessed with demonic spirits and such when the truth is that George Lutz was a liar.

Ronald DeFoe ,jr. really did murder his dad , mom , two brothers and two sisters in that house but it wasn't because the voices told him to. It was because he was just a spoiled , rich little prick that didn't get his way and he turned into a cold blooded killer because of it .There also really was a George and Kathy Lutz who moved into the house a little over one year after the murders of the DeFoes and left 28 days later leaving all of their personal belongings and never returning for them. The Lutz's claim the house was possessed with a demonic presence and that George almost killed his family because the demon was trying to possess him . By the time it was proven that the Lutz was lying the first movie of Amityville Horror was already out . Some people still believe the Lutz's but no other family has ever had a problem such as the Lutz claimed to have had . Don't take my word for it , go here and read all about it . You can also go here and read about a man named Ric Osuna who researched the Amityville murders and wrote a book on his findings . The title of his book is "The Night The DeFeos Died" . You can also see the actual photos taken at the crime scene . I love reading stories like this and to trudge through all of the peole that have researched and written about it . The bitching hour!!

This morning I sit here wondering if I have made somebody mad enough that they would put a curse on me or something . Maybe the fates are against me . Okay so maybe those two things are a bit farfetched(hehe) but something isn't right and it all started last night around bedtime. My son is ADHD and he takes medication for it and we are getting some awesome results except this one little thing , he can't get to sleep at night and when he does fall asleep it is a fitful sleep . This is beginning to wear on him big time and he is having to work harder at school . It was after midnight when he finally drifted off to sleep last night and I had put him in my bed with me to see if maybe some snuggling would help him because most of the time it helps a bit . I went to sleep immediately after he did because I was completely worn out , I had not been asleep long when my 10 yr old daughter woke me up with a stomach ache . I get up and give her some medicine and send her back to bed . Five more times she wakes me up just because she can't go back to sleep . Then the last time she had to go to the bathroom . The bathroom is located between her room and mine . She left the light on in bathroom when she was done and she left the door half way opened just enough that the light glared off the door into my room . I can't sleep with any lights on in my room . I keep a blue nightlight lit in the bathroom for the kids at night in case they need to use the bathroom .

So all in all I got about an hour of sleep last night then I woke up this morning and all hell broke loose. My 13 yr old was in rare form this morning and she came close to getting a good bitch slapping from me for running her mouth . Sometimes she has a smart mouth and when this occurs she says things that sound as if she is giving orders and that don't blow with me ! I finally get the kids in the van , ready to go to school and I needed to tell my husband something so I come back in the house and start talking to him . He is watching ESPN and he turns it up over my voice , Jesus Christ on crutches I hate that ! So I turned and left because I wanted to pick up my son's two foot , wooden Louisville Slugger bat and wrap it around my hubby's noggin ! I got in the van and got the two younger kids to school then my 13 yr old tells me tha t I have to get a copy of her insurance card and bring it to school before 9am this morning . The reason she needs the copy of the insurance card is because she is in Beta and they are going to a convention the week of Thanksgiving , which is in Nashville. I went and made a copy of the insurance card , I also had to swing back by the house to get my sons reading book and homework folder that he forgot to place back in his backpack . I stop by the elementary school to drop his book off and the teacher wants me to come down . I go down to the room and she tells my that my son is extra tired this morning and I explain about the night he had . Okay that is all done so I get back in my van and head toward the middle school , not a hundred yards from the entrance to the middle school was a wreck and it was horrible . I sat in traffic for over thirty minutes and finally got to the middle school and my daughter tells me I have to go back home and get all the forms I filled out and had notarized for the Beta trip . OH HELL NO !!!!! I don't think so . I ended up going back to class with her and talking to her teacher and she said the forms aren't due until the 28th of this month . I left the school and headed home and here I am ! I dare anyone to ring my phone or my door bell because I will open the door swinging and I don't care who it is !

Ahhh that felt better . Now I have all that off my chest and I am feeling better already ! Thanks ! Have a good day all, I know I am going to try to because from where I am standing right now , there isn't any way but up ! LOL!

As some of you may know , I am a huge country music fan . Rascal Flatts is one of my favorite bands out there and I have every cd they have made. I bought this cd "Feels Like Today " the second it hit the shelves . When I bought it I noticed that it had two bonus tracks on it . What I didn't know was that it has a hidden track on it . I was sitting in my van listening to my local country station , WIVK 107.7(www.wivk.com), when a new song from Rascal Flatts came on . I am a very emotional person and I cried while listening to this song . It really touched my heart and I wasn't just sniffling , I was outright crying . So I went to the Rascal Flatts website and I found out that this song is not a new one , it is a hidden track on my cd . What I haven't figured out yet is how to get it but the website explains it all so I will have it soon . I thought I would post the lyrics of the song here and I hope you enjoy.

thoughts and confessions

Each morning I get up between 5 and 6am but this morning I overslept and my oldest daughter woke us up at 7:20. Holy moly ! At 7:20 on a normal day I am dropping my two youngest off at the elementary school . This morning my 13 yr old had to be at school early so I took her and my husband took the others . Each morning on my way home from the middle school I pass a church and they , like most churches, have the sign out front with a saying on it . For some reason this morning that sign caught my eye and I couldn't quit thinking about it . Here is what it said "what we see , often depends on what we are looking for " .

As I said , I couldn't get that out of my mind . I truly never thought about it that way but it is the truth if I have ever heard it . Think about it , if you are in a bad mood all that happens is bad things , if you are happy the sun seems to shine a little brighter that day or if you are depressed it seems you can find nothing that looks promising to you . Why this made so much sense to me this morning , I will never know but it did . Anyways , it led my thoughts to a conversation that I had in PM with Bsoholic last night . I told him that I never feel like I let the real me show online . I am not saying that I hide the real me but I have a trouble putting my thoughts down in words . It would be completely different if I were sitting and talking to each of you . So these thougths led me to this conclusion , I need to try and share a bit more of myself with you all so that I don't feel like I am living a lie with my online friends.

First thing I want to say is that I have never tried to hide anything from any of you but I feel like I haven't been completely clear from time to time . Not intentional mind you but still not clear none the less. Anyways here are a few things about me that I would like for you to know .

~I am a christian . I do not judge others if they don't believe the same thing I do because I believe that we all have the right to our own beliefs. Nor do I push my beliefs on anyone at anytime .

~When I used to play trivia madness I was called "Sweet Breazy" alot . This use to bug me because if any of you met me in person you probably wouldn't call me sweet .
~I am a worrier , especially when it comes to my friends , even if it is online friends. I care about y'all and I can't stand to see anybody hurting and me not at least try to do something about it . Just ask Bsoholic , I have probably bugged the shit out of him before when I knew something was wrong but I didn't want him feeling like he had to go it alone.
~I am a #1 smartass. Around here I am called the comeback Queen .
~I let my mouth override my backside alot . That is called speaking before ~thinking and I have a real problem with it ! hehe
~I have an obsession with cleanliness. Whether it be my house , my van , my body, your house , your car , your body , I can't seem to help it but I want everything clean and organized.
~My best friend is the trash can . If you put something somewhere it doesn't belong , you have x amount of time to move it or it goes into my circular file .
~I am actually a really humorous person but it rarely shows on here.
~I am very spastic .
~I have a very rebellious spirit . If you say I can't I will walk through hell with gasoline soaked shorts just to prove you wrong ! I don't know why I am like this because this hasn't always been my way.
~Authority and I do not mix . Sometimes when my hubby is telling me something I feel like he is bossing me , which he isn't , it is just me getting my panties in a wad, anyways I start mouthing to him and before you know it I am ready to throw down and swing my punches .
~Rember my 101 list a couple days ago. #101 was " I feel like a living contradiction" . I honestly do because I hate shopping unless I am in the mood for it , I can be as girly as any other woman but I am the type that would pick four wheelers and dirt bikes over a trip out with the ladies most times .
~Laughing and sex are two very important things to me .
~I love being outdoors especially in the fall or at the beach .

nothing of importance .. just gabbing ..

Good morning all ! Wow last night I went back to water aerobics after a four year break and man they worked my butt off . It felt wonderful though ! I slept better last night than I have in a long time . I am hoping that I will be able to continue going to water aerobics this time because the last time I broke out real bad because of the chlorine and the pool being inside. So far , so good ! Anyhoo..

If I had balls they would have frozen right off my body this morning ! The thermostat in my van is going out so my heater didn't work very well and it was 54 here this morning and I get cold easy . I was in a hurry as I was flying out the back door so forgot to grab my jacket . The kids weren't cold but I was about to shake out of my p.j.'s !

My kids are on fall break all next week so I will get to sleep in for a few days . If I can sleep as late as 8 or 8:30 then I will be good to go ! My son caught his first fish ever yesterday evening . He was so excited. My husband and son go bass fishing all the time and my son was starting to get down a bit because he hadn't caught a fish yet , well last night he finally caught one . When I got home from water aerobics he was so excited and telling me all about it.

Timely reminder

A handsome, middle-aged man walked quietly into the cafe and sat down.
Before he ordered, he couldn't help but notice a group of younger men at
the table next to him. It was obvious they were making fun of something about
him, and it wasn't until he remembered he was wearing a small pink ribbon
on the lapel of his suit that he became aware of what the joke was all about.
The man brushed off the reaction as ignorance, but the smirks began to get
to him. He looked one of the rude men square in the eye, placed his hand beneath the ribbon and asked, quizzically, "This?" With that the men all began to laugh out loud. The man he addressed said, as he fought back laughter, "Hey, sorry man, but we were just commenting on how pretty your pink ribbon looks against your blue jacket!"
The middle aged man calmly motioned for the joker to come over to his
table and invited him to sit down. As uncomfortable as he was, the guy obliged, not really sure why.
In a soft voice, the middle aged man said,
"I wear this ribbon to bring awareness about breast cancer. I wear it in
my mother's honour." " Oh, sorry dude. She died of breast cancer?"
"No, she didn't. She's alive and well. But her breasts nourished me as
an infant and were a soft resting place for my head when I was scared or
lonely as a little boy. I'm very grateful for my mother's breasts and her
health." "Umm," the stranger replied, "Yeah."
"And I wear this ribbon to honour my wife", the middle aged man went on.
"And she's okay, too?" the other guy asked.
"Oh, yes. She's fine. Her breasts have been a great source of loving
pleasure for both of us, and with them she nurtured and nourished our
beautiful daughter 23 years ago. I am grateful for my wife's breasts, and for her
health."
"Uh huh. And I guess you wear it to honour your daughter, also?"
"It's too late to honour my daughter by wearing it now. My daughter died
of breast cancer one month ago. She thought she was too young to have
breast cancer, so when she accidentally noticed a small lump, she ignored it. She thought that since it wasn't painful, it must not be anything to worry
about."
Shaken and ashamed, the now sober stranger said, "Oh, man, I'm so sorry
mister."
"So, in my daughter's memory, too, I proudly wear this little ribbon,
which allows me the opportunity to enlighten others. Now, go home and talk to
your wife and your daughters, your mother and your friends.
And here," the middle-aged man reached in his pocket and handed the other
man a little pink ribbon.
The guy looked at it, slowly raised his head and asked, "Can ya help me
put it on?"

October is breast cancer awareness month.
Do regular breast self-exams and encourage those women you love to do the
same. There are alot of women who can't afford to get regular mammograms performed . Just by going to the breast cancer site and clicking on the button that says "fund free mammograms , click here" you are giving a woman somewhere a chance to have a mammogram and all it costs you is less than a minute of your time . I go here everyday and click this button . I ask all of you to do this as well . Click here to give someone a free mammogram.

Here is a bit of information that I thought was worth passing on .

Juices provide many essential nutrients , but consuming untreated juices can pose health risks to your family . The FDA has received reports of serious outbreaks of foodborne illness that have been traced to drinking fruit and vegetable juice and cider that has not been treated to kill harmful bacteria.

While most people's immune systems can usually fight off the effects of foodborne illness, children, as well as the elderly and people with weakened immune systems, risk serious illnesses or even death from drinking untreated juices.

Since 1999 , the FDA has required juice manufacturers to place warning information on product containers about the health risks of drinking untreated juice or cider . Only a small protion of all fruit and vegetable juices sold in supermarkets is not treated to kill harmful bacteria . These products are required to carry the following warning label:

WARNING: This product has not been pasteurized and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children , the elderely , and persons with weakened immune systems.

You should note that the FDA does not require warning labels for juice or cider that is fresh-squeezed and sold by the glass, such as at apple orchards, at farm markets , at roadside stands , or in some juice bars . If you're unsure if a glass of juice or cider has been treated, be sure to ask .

When purchasing juice , take these two simple steps to protect your children .
1. Look for the warning label to avoid the purchase of untreated juices. You can find pasteurized or otherwise treated products in your gorcers' refrigerated sections , frozen food cases, or in non-refrigerated containers , such as juice boxes , bottles , or cans. Untreated juices is most likely to be sold in the refrigerated section of a grocery store .
2. Always ask if you're unsure if a juice product is treated , especially for juices sold in refrigerated cases of grocery or health food stores , cider mills , farm markets. Also , don't hesitate to ask if the labeling is unclear or if the juice or cider is sold by the glass .

His Weenie Turned Orange!

A guy goes to a doctor and says, "Doc, you've got to help me. My penis is orange."
The doctor pauses to think and asks the guy to drop his pants so he can check. Damned if the guy's penis isn't orange.
Doc tells the guy, "This is very strange. Sometimes things like this are caused by a lot of stress in a person's life."
Probing as to the causes of possible stress, the doc asks the guy, "How are things going at work?"
The guy responds that he was fired about six weeks ago. The doctor tells him that this must be the cause of the stress.
The guy responds, "No. The boss was a real asshole, I had to work 20-30 hours of overtime every week and I had no say in anything that was happening. I found a new job a couple of weeks ago where I can set my own hours, I'm getting paid double what I got on the old job and the boss is a really great guy."
So the doc figures this isn't the reason.
He asks the guy, "How's your home life?"
The guy says, "Well, I got divorced about eight months ago."
The doc figures that this has got to be the reason for all of the guys stress.
But the guy says, "No. For years, all I listened to was nag, nag, nag. God, am I glad to be rid of that old bitch!"
So the doc takes a few minutes to think a little longer. He inquires, "Do you have any hobbies or a social life?"
The guy replies, "No, not really. Most nights I just sit at home, watch some porno flicks and munch on Cheetos!"
