If you read my post yesterday you will know that the thermastat in my minivan went out yesterday morning and I froze my back regions off while transporting my children to school . Today I opened the garage door and pulled out the Buick Park Avenue that we have and oh it was so good to have heat . It was colder this morning than it was yesterday . We are getting a bit of rain and wind here and there was no way I was going to drive the van without heat.
We are gearing up and getting ready for Halloween around here and some friends and I got together and planned a sleep over party for all the kids in the church on Sunday night because our county schools are out on Monday . None of the kids have any idea about this party and they are going to love it . My kids wanted me to do a huge Halloween party here at my house but I decided we would just do a fun fright night this Friday with just our kids. I am not trying to be mean by not inviting anyone but I feel like the surprise sleep over will be enough. Besides all that , I have promised myself that I am sleeping late on Saturday , which means maybe 8 am if I can sleep that long .
This is my favorite time of year and I have to admit that I like all the cold , blustery days that we have in fall and winter . What is going to really mess with me is when time changes this coming Saturday night , I am just thankful that we gain an hour instead of loose one . I have already started on my christmas shopping and I am hoping to be mostly done by Thanksgiving except for maybe some smaller things for our kids. I am thinking about buying my husband another acoustic guitar for christmas . He use to play alot when we first met 15 years ago and we just bought my 10 yr old one and he plays it a bit so I think I will get him one for christmas. I am still shopping around for a banjo to purchase , I am not in a hurry because the man that I want to take lessons from is booked solid for now.
Anyways , that is all that is going on in my neck of the woods for now . I think I am going to go back to bed for an hour or so and try to get some peaceful sleep that I didn't seem to get last night . How is your day going ? Good I hope ! :)

I love this time of year too! The hour gained is always weird at first but you get used to it. The hardest thing to get used to is the whole getting dark at 5:30 pm.
I bet your hubby would love a new acoustic guitar! That's a pretty kick-ass gift for any guitar playin' guy. ;)

Lime .. thank you ! The van will be put in the shop this friday or next . I am in no hurry since I have the buick.
Bs.. I love the colors and by the time this time rolls around I am always ready for the cooler air and snuggling with the kids on the couch while watching their cartoons or movies. Yeah I am probably going to buy him a guitar for christmas. The more I think about it the better it sounds. :)
