ready , set ... go !

Here I am on a sunday night and I am preparing the last unhealthy meal that I will have for the next year . I wanted to make sure that the last thing I eat tonight is something that I can't have for a year . First of all , some of you may wonder what I am talking about .. well , I joined LA Weight Loss friday and I start my program tomorrow . I am not worried about having major cravings or mourning the lose of some of my favorite foods because once you do the initial "express" diet , which is two days of a very strict menu to clean the yucky stuff out of your system , you are pretty much okay . I was on LAWL about four years ago and I didn't have a problem with not having what I was use to because the things that I were eating were so good . You buy your own food at the grocery store and all you buy are fresh foods , no frozen or canned . You watch your sodium and things like that .

The meal that I prepared tonight was my homemade turkey pot pie and instead of pie crust I used stuffing . I also made a loaded baked potato and I am washing all of this down with an ice cold glass of pepsi . Normally I don't eat past 6 but tonight is the exception . I am really excited about getting started on the program and seeing the scales when I weigh in three times a week at the center in my town . The reason I chose to go back to LAWL is because of the support they give and weighing in three times a week may sound like alot to some of you but that is what kept me going the last time. Four years ago I lost 30lbs in like a month and a half . I was on the diet for 2 and a half to three months and half of that time I really didn't follow my diet like I should have and I was traveling alot so finally I just gave up and quit . This time I am NOT quiting!!!!

The hardest part is the first eight days . Four years ago I lost 6lbs in the first three days and the first week ended with a loss of 10lbs . By the end of that month I had lost another 10lbs . The only part I am dreading is the withdrawals because I have never felt fatigue like that . It was kind of like flu symptoms but worse however , four years ago I also drank Mountain Dew like water . The consultants at the LAWL center told me the Mt. Dew is the reason I went through such rough withdrawals . I thought if you were addicted to drugs and decided to quit that you went through withdrawals not if you were addicted to Mt. Dew . Since then I can't drink Mt. Dews because they make me sick to my stomach .

I did keep alot of my habits from my diet before that I don't have to train myself to this time like eating Morton Lite Salt , Lite mayo and using Mrs. Dash to season everything . Before my diet four years ago I ate mayo on every sandwich and burger I had but now I barely eat the stuff so that I another plus . I have alot of weight to lose but I am looking forward to the challenge and all the changes that are going to take place so y'all just wish me luck and I will keep you posted on how I am doing ! Good night !
