Mr. Breazy on the other hand isn't faring as well as the rest of us . He is covered in poison oak and not very comfortable . The weird thing is , he is not allergic to poison oak or poison ivy and he has never had either or them . How did he get the poison oak you ask ? Remember me telling you about the Electric Company and how for a few weeks they have been telling me this and telling me that when I call ? Well a couple of weeks ago they told me that we had to clear a path through this small wooded area between our property and my neighbors property so they could get to the actual power pole our electric will be coming off of . Mr. Breazy , my dad and I went over there and cleared the path out just like the gentleman said . I called the guy back at the E.C. to tell him we had done that and waited for over a week for a return call . Finally I called back and left a nice but firm message and that got the guy to moving . He called me back earlier this week and told me he had been back out to our property and he had marked five trees that we needed to take the top out of so they could run the wiring . This ticked us off a bit because they , the E.C., are the ones that are supposed to clear out their own darned paths but we don't want to make them mad at this point because if we make them mad then they will take more time getting to our electric. Anyways , Mr. Breazy and my dad went back over there Wednesday morning and cut the top out of those five trees and that is where Mr. Breazy got the poison oak even though he was wearing a long sleeved shirt , goggles and thick gloves . He can't even touch me right now because I am seriously allergic to anything that starts with poison . By touch I mean he can't take his pointing finger and touch my arm , nothing , nada , zilch . I can't touch anything he has touched for fear of getting the p.o. My family and I are all big on washing our hands but the past couple of days we have just about scrubbed the skin off our hands every time we touch something . When I put medicine on Mr. Breazys infected areas I wear two latex gloves on each hand just to be on the safe side . Below is a pic of that small wooded area and the path he cleared out the first time , if you look closely you can see the power pole back there .

Here is a closer shot of the cleared wooded area. For some reason I just couldn't get a good shot of this little area . It is actually more cleared out than it looks here .

Anyways, that is what I am doing today . How are you spending your Saturday?

So when is this house supposed to be finished? And when's the celebratory BBQ you're hosting for all of us at your new home? Where are you registered for housewarming gifts?
Leslie ... If it remains on schedule it should be done by the end of March or the first of April . As soon as it is complete and we are settled in we are having the celebratory BBQ and yes I would love for all of you to come ! That would be so much fun for me . So far I haven't registered anywhere because I pretty much have everything that I need and no one has mentioned hosting me a housewarming party , if that changes I will let you know .
poor mr breazy....that's awful. get some aveeno for the bathwater if he has it all over him. it's a very soothing soak. i hope he feels better soon.
glad you are having a chance to relax and enjoy today.
we had a friend come over to instal la new piece of hardware on our computer. shoulda been a quick thing btu it turned into a 3 hour ordeal. but it's all set up and working now.
Ohhh man that poison oak is NASTY stuff! I had an old boyfriend that got it REALLY bad and was very allergic to it. We were camping near Santa Barbara and we were surfing and he fell asleep so I thought I would start a fire and hang his wet suit near the fire to dry (it was inside out). Well...the next day we went surfing and then on our drive home he started to itch ALL over (most guys are naked under the wet suit). So yes, you guessed it...even the privates got it! He asked me where it was that I got the fire wood from and I told him. He just about killed me because after I told him where the wood came from he said that was ALL POISON OAK branches and the smoke got all over his wet suit. He was miserable for weeks. Poor guy! I never even got a red spot....now that is just too funny for me!
