weekend recap and a movie review

Good Monday morning all ! This past weekend was a blur of excitement and activities . We started the weekend off with my sons baseball game friday night . I am so impressed with their team . Friday night they took the win with a score of 17-10. Their record is currently 10-1 . That is right , only one loss for the season and I do believe they will take first place in their league because they are the only team in the 7-8 year old bracket that has only one loss.

Saturday morning began at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park at 8am . Our church was holding a bicycle ride for the youth then a picnic lunch on the river . The loop in Cades Cove is 11 miles and in that 11 miles there are alot of hills , I was really surprised at the outcome of the ride . I finished 7 &1/4 miles then I rode in the back of the truck with the smaller kids that was worn out . Bethany my 10yr old daughter , Amber my 11yr old cousin , Shawn my husband , David who is Ambers dad , Ethan my cousin and Dillan my 14yr old daughters boyfriend were the only ones to finish the 11 miles . We were all very proud of Bethany and Amber because they were the only girls to finish . After the bike ride we all had a nice lunch on the river . It was wonderful and surprising because I was not sore at all yesterday , I guess the exercising that I have been doing the past two months has paid off especially with the bike ride . If I had attempted that ride three months ago I wouldn't have been able to get out of bed yesterday ! hehe.

After we returned all of the children home saturday my husband and I took my 14yr old and her boyfriend out to dinner then to a movie . We saw An American Haunting . I thought the movie was okay until closer to the end and their theory came out . I was not happy at all with the creators theory. I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the Bell Witch Haunting but I have heard about it all my life . It was believed that John Bell had a disagreement with a neighbor over some land , the neighbor then supposedly put a curse on John Bell and his daughter Betsy . John Bell ended up dying from an illness brought on by the haunting , after his death the family was never bothered again by the spirit . Okay , if you don't want to know how this movie ends then read no more . In this movie they theorize that John Bell molested his daughter Betsy and that is why the haunting took place , I however , was not happy at all with this ending . They make it out as Betsy shrinking inside herself and letting her evil side take over . I have read most of the books written on the Bell witch haunting and they all believe that John and his family were haunted because of some deal with a neighbor which went bad . Anyways , don't waste your money seeing this movie , it isn't worth it .
Now my next movie will be Silent Hill . My sister and I play this on her XBOX and I can't wait to have time to see it !

Thursday is the last day of school around here and it is going to be one busy day for me . Today I am taking my fourteen year old to have some highlights put in her hair for her eighth grade prom . Thursday morning the middle school is holding a small graduation ceremony for the eighth graders and I am going to be one big ball of tears . That afternoon my ten year old has a small ceremony to celebrate her last year in grade school . My son will be spending the night at school on thursday for the 5th annual end of the year Lock-In party . First and second graders get to spend the night at school and during their time there they get pizza , snacks , games , movies and all kinds of great fun . My son participated in this last year and he had so much fun .

Well , I better get in here and make a dent in my laundry since now is the only time I have to do it . Y'all have a wonderful day !
