Hey all ! Wow! I had a wonderful weekend and yesterday was awesome too however , I had the scare of my life yesterday evening . We are having revival at our church this week and my kids were out of school today so my ten year old and my son wanted to stay with my mom instead of going to church . I decided that since they were both really tired that I would let them so before church we took them to my moms. As we were driving down the road to get to my parents house , I noticed their 85 yr old neighbor (he lives two doors down from my parents) was in his garden . He was on the ground and at first it looked like he was digging in a hole but I didn't see any movement . I told Mr. Breazy to stop the van so I could look for respiration movement . I couldn't see his back moving at all and that is when my heart hit my feet then my feet hit the ground running. I was about 75 yards from where the neighbor was laying and I started yelling his name as I got out of the van . He didn't answer and I started running towards him , all the while I was screaming for Mr. Breazy to call 911 and I was also yelling for this mans wife . I was in heels and a long skirt so I had my skirt pulled up to my knees so I could run . I finally got to him and he was saying " no" very faintly . By this time Mr. Breazy was just catching up to me and he was getting ready to dial 911 . The guy didn't want an ambulance so we asked him if he was okay , did he faint or what . He told us he had stumbled on the uneven ground in the garden . I knew immediately this was a lie because I could see his footprints in the dirt and I saw where he had stumbled and it wasn't because of lost footing . I called my mom and told her to tell my dad to get over there so he could help us get this guy up because this guy stands about 6'3" and I didn't know if I could help get him up .
Mr. Breazy and I had gotten him to his knees by the time mom and dad got there and his lip was slashed open and his glasses was bent badly . He was very shaky so I knew there was something other than just stumbling going on . His wife had been doing laundry so she didn't hear my screams and she had been looking out the window every few minutes so she noticed us and came out . Come to find out our neighbor has been having a bad problem with passing out lately and he is seeing a doctor for it a couple times a week . We finally got him inside so he could rest . The rest of the night I was still trying to calm myself down because when I realized that he wasn't digging a hole I thought he was dead . After having such an upset like this I am sure you can imagine the nightmares I had last night . I am glad that we saw him when we did because his wife couldn't have helped him up and who knows how long it would have taken him to be well enough to walk on his own . So that is my scary story for the week and I am praying that nothing else like that pops up !
Anyways, y'all have a good one , I have to go weigh in here in a few minutes . Bye !
