celebrating ......

Woohoo !!! I got a new computer today . FINALLY !!! I have waited so long for a new computer that I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get one . My sweet husband went behind my back and ordered me a new comp and I was so happy I cried . Let me explain ...

My husband ordered a new computer for my birthday in late April . When the computer arrived my husband had my cousin to set it up at my moms . I am still not sure what it was but there were several things that wasn't added to the comp and my husband had been charged for all the extras . He sends the comp back and after waiting for almost two weeks for the corrected comp to come back , he calls and cancels the order and demands for repayment on his credit card . It took over a month to get the reimbursment back on the card and we were not happy . Ok , fast forward to now ....

Between family visiting ,my being sick , my grandmother ill and on the edge of death and my everyday life , I haven't had time to really shop for a new computer so I decided to wait until we return from vacation to buy . After returning home from my grandmothers today I was really upset because she could pass at anytime and it was just a really rough day for me . My husband had gotten home from work early and he was out in the garage cleaning his sanding equipment so I came inside and got busy to keep my mind off of my grandmother . I was folding laundry when I heard a vehicle pull in the drive and then my husband yells for me . I go out the door like the hounds of hell are on my heels because I am thinking something is wrong , I get outside and see the FedX man holding a gateway box (everybody knows the design of gateway) so I freeze in my tracks . My husband is looking at me with this huge, silly " I am so proud of myself" smile on his face and I said "is that what I think it is?" and my hubby says "yes and it has everything you wanted" . I actually stood in the middle of my drive and cried while the FedX man stood there holding my new computer . My husband was speechless , he didn't know what to think of me crying especially in front of the delivery man .

Now I am sitting here enjoying my new Gateway and I am so happy to finally have a bigger screen and Windows XP . My old comp. is a Compaq Presario and it has Windows 98 on it .
