kitchen appliances....

We are about a month and a half away from moving into our new home so I thought that I would really get serious about my kitchen appliances. I already knew what washer and dryer I wanted so that wasn't a problem. As far as kitchen appliances went I knew that I wanted stainless steel. I also wanted a side by side fridge, a flat surface stove, a microwave that goes over the stove and a great dishwasher. I picked the kitchen appliances out after looking at everything they had, I decided on a line of GE that are actually a set. The dishwasher was missing one setting that I wanted but was $200 cheaper than the one I had originally picked out. The higher dishwasher was also a different brand and I want the same brand name appliances in the kitchen so I can do without one small setting.

Now the washer and dryer I had already made my mind up about when they first hit the market. I saw the commercial and fell in love. They are the new LG front loader with the steam setting. If you have saw the commercial where the woman is wearing a lavender colored dress all day then comes in, throws the dress in the washer on the steam setting then puts it back on and goes out for the evening then you have saw my washer and dryer. I have chose the set in wild cherry red metallic which is normally $100 each more than the white if you choose the other colors but for the next few weeks it just happens to be the same price for the red with the sale they are having. I figured Mr. B would pose a problem on the washer and dryer but he was all for it once the salesman explained the steam setting and all that.

I am not going to buy the kitchen appliances yet because I want to shop around just a bit more before I make my final decision but more than likely I will go with those I chose tonight. I have done my research and I want to do a bit more on the LG appliances before I decide on the GE.

The house is coming along nicely. The electric is all roughed in and the heating and air is all roughed in. Our insulation should be installed this week sometime then they will start the dry wall. There were several little extras that we asked for concerning the electric and I was surprised to see them there without any questions being asked. More or less what I am saying is my contractor isn't one that you have to tell more than once what you want, he is great!

It has snowed lightly all day until about 5pm then it started getting a bit heavier so tonight we have a light dusting covering everything but the roads and it is very pretty to look at. Is it just me or is it very quiet and peaceful outside when snow is on the ground and falling? I really want to go take a nice walk outside alone but I don't think Mr. B would like that at 10:30 at night and he sure won't want to come with me because he is busy right now.

I took some pics of the house right after the snow started sticking and I wish I could show them to you but it would probably take forever to get them uploaded on here, maybe I will have time to try that tomorrow.

Well I am going to go for now and get the kids settled in bed then my sister and I are going to watch a chic flick. Y'all have a good weekend , what's left of it! Be safe and take care !

Appliances are fun to shop for but man are they EXPENSIVE!! I wish I had the LG washer and dryer. I bought the Bosch a few years ago and regret it now. They are not all that they cracked up to be! I also want a new fridge myself. I have a side by side and would never buy another one. They don't have a whole lot of space and it's very narrow! I want to get one with the freezer on the bottom. But then I'll complain about that one too...LOL!!! I guess for just the two of us, the stuff we have will do. We have the stainless steel too and it's GREAT for cleaning. NO SMEARS!!!!

Oh wow, Breazy, fun!
Picking out all new appliances sounds like FUN.
Even though we have purchased two houses I didn't get to pick that kind of stuff. Package deal, ya know?
Hope you had a great weekend and are starting a wonderful week!

Hey I forgot to ask you...I saw on the news the other day that people in TN were jumping into some lake. Did you participate in any of that? It looked a little too cold to be doing that!!!

Thanks for stopping by. We are doing well. Loving the weather this week. LOL Had a heck of a weekend as you read. Crazy. Glad it's over and my carpet is finally fixed.

No worries about being MIA. Dial up would drive me nuts.

Can't wait to see more pics of the house though.
