There are 2 things in life that are a for certain thing, one being death, the second being taxes! Well I hope I am not going to be trying out the first one anytime soon but tonight Mr. B and I will go do the latter of the two. That is right, it is tax time again and I thank God that we pay someone to handle this irritation for us. We meet with our accountant around 5 this evening and I am really ready to get it over with. I do thank my lucky stars that I don't have to mess with all of the paperwork that comes along with owning your own business. I am making it sound worse than it really is because all year long I keep receipts and other needed items separated in their own little files in my filing cabinet so that all we have to do at tax time is paper clip them together and take them to Ms. Accountant and all she has to do is enter everything in the computer and let us know the result. I have been known to procrastinate on some things in life but our taxes are not one of those things, I like getting them over and done.
Going on with other matters, the kids are out of school today along with all of the surrounding counties due to illness or to be more specific the flu. Wednesday there was talk of the schools closing yesterday and today but our county doesn't close at the drop of a hat even though all other counties were already closed, not to even consider the fact that over half the staff at all three schools were out sick as well as a huge portion of the children. The good thing about the situation is that all three of my offspring are in good health with not even a sniffle to be heard, I just pray that all of those that are sick soon get well.
I mentioned in a previous post that I have been having some problems with my computer and that my cousin was coming over to fix it. He came over yesterday and this thing is running almost like a dream again. I will give you all a warning though, when it comes to anti-virus programs I have always used Norton but it seems that Norton isn't as good as it use to be. All total I had 27 infected files and numerous Trojans sitting dormant in there, thank goodness they are gone. I now also have a new anti-virus program running.
It has been short but I have to sign off now, I have to pick my daughter up from my moms. Y'all have a great weekend, be safe and God Bless!

taxes...ugh....
your flu situations sounds awful. hoe you all stay healthy.
so tell us, what antivirus has been recommended and installed for you?
Jillie..yep sometimes death does sound better!
Lime..it is a program called AVG and it is absolutely free! You never have to buy anti-virus again.
Taxes done, rebate got, new LCD TV bought. We're finally in this century! Woo hoo! Ha! Ha!
Breazy...I would LOVE to take you to Cabo with me! Get your bags packed and come on down ;o)
Hi Breazy! Hope all is well...how dare you say taxes so early in the year! Yikes!
Isn't it a shame that our tax code is so complicated that we have to pay somebody to calculate our taxes for us?
I haven't a clue how our tax man figures our taxes, but I'm sure he does a damn good job. After we were audited and he found that we were actually owed money I'll never use another accountant :)
` I used to have Norton, but then my computer slowed down to a crawl. Then I downloaded Clam AV, which is free, and it found 99 viruses, no kidding!
` So that's what I have now - AVG too!
` Now as for biological viruses - the schools got closed down because of the flu? That's amazing!!
` Up here, they just close down whenever there's more than two inches of snow on the ground.
Ugh, taxes.
Do I have to?
