surgery and recovery....

First of all I want to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Surgery went very well. I have no external incisions which is an answered prayer. As far as recovery goes... well it is going slow but it is going. Before I had the surgery everyone at work kept telling me that after three days I would feel great but that has yet to be. I don't feel horrible or anything but I am very uncomfortable most of the time which is to be expected after what I had done. I would come by all of your blogs but I can't sit in this chair long enough to comment all of you. I have been sitting here a total of maybe ten minutes and I am already hurting from it. Soft surfaces are the same for me, I just do much better laying down or having room to find the comfortable spot.

Some people kept stressing how important it is to just rest and do nothing because over doing it is easy and I have found that really annoying because it easier than some would think to over do it, I have already done this three times now and I have paid for it each time. I am not a couch potato nor do I watch a lot of tv but I have moved from the bedroom to the couch and I read or watch tv, it gets kind of boring but it is best. When I am really hurting or just feeling blah I go lie down in my bed to rest but most times I plant myself on the couch so that I can see what is going on in the world around me.

We have a new edition to our family named Bentley. He is black, about four and a half inches tall and about six or seven inches long including his tail. Mr. B surprised the kids Saturday by blessing our family with this cute little fella. The kids have been going on and on about wanting a dog so Mr. B took it upon himself to get them one. He is a lab and something mix and he is the cutest little thing, he is so funny to watch him play around in the living room with the kids. He is also a little snuggler, he loves to snuggle with the kids in the floor. He is temporarily living in a corner of the kitchen while Mr. B builds his permanent home outside. He doesn't really like being inside so we take him out often to play, rather they take him out often play.

Anyways, I am going to sign off and go rest, I just wanted to come by and give an update.
