the good and the not so good....

Hey! It feels like it has been a hundred years since I last had time to post something here. Last night I tried to stroll through my blog roll to try to catch up on everyone a little so I thought this morning I would post to catch you all up on what is going on here in my little corner of the world.

First off, as I am sure you all probably already know, we have been really busy with work, church, and doing all the kids things and I have had no time left to get online and visit. I do have some wonderful news though...remember me posting about applying for the part-time position over at the hospital initially? Well last Wednesday I got called to my bosses office and not only was my boss there but so was the other lady I interviewed with for the part time. The girl that got the part time position put her notice in because she needs more hours so they offered me the part time position, I started training that afternoon. The thing is that I can't completely step into the part time position until December 17 because the person that was hired to take my full time position in the file room has to graduate first and that will happen on December 15. So in the mean time I have to juggle both jobs in the forty hours I am allowed to work each week. I am so excited about the part time position and I can't wait to get to that point , on the other hand I am really going to miss the ladies I work with in the file room right now. I will still get to see them here and there but I will miss them none the less. I am just glad that everything worked out for everyone and all of us are happy with the end result, God sure does surprise me sometimes with the way He moves things around. Once I am in the part time position only I will be working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8-4:30 so that will give me two extra days a week to take care of my home and everything outside of work.

Normally I am not home on Tuesdays but today is different because I have a medical problem going on and I have orders from the doctor to stay home, stay off my feet, and get some rest until I go to my new doctor tomorrow afternoon. I have felt really terrible since this little medical episode started Friday night and not being able to go to work this morning or tomorrow makes me feel awful because right now we have one lady on vacation and we were stretched in the first place so I feel like I should be there but it is hard because I can't go so it makes me feel like I am pushing my responsibilities off on others but I can't help it because right now there is no way that I could be at work with what I am dealing with medically. Hopefully my new doctor will be ready to do something about this problem I am having and I won't have to worry about it anymore, however to make my medical problems go away would require a complete hysterectomy and at this point in the game I am all for it just so I don't have to deal with this anymore. My biggest fear is cancer if a hysterectomy is not preformed.

I think in my last post I mentioned that we are in a drought, well we are still in the drought. We are expecting some rain today, tomorrow and over the weekend but I will believe it is coming when I see it.

We are having wonderful temperatures though. As a matter of fact, on Thursday of last week we had to turn the heat on to knock the chill out of the house a bit and we left it on until Sunday night. Now I don't have the air or the heat on and I love it because you can open a window and enjoy the fresh air.
