Until October 12th, Mondays will be my off day which means that I always have a three day weekend since I get my 40 hrs in four days. After Oct. 12 my day off will be Friday for seven weeks then I will switch back to Monday. The reason my schedule will be switching every seven weeks is because we have a college student that works there and her schedule changes every seven weeks.
We have a special birthday coming up this week, on Wednesday to be exact so expect to see a new post then. My son will be 10. I am still wondering where the heck time went, it seems like yesterday he was still an infant.
I have noticed that some of my clothes are starting to get lose on me, guess all that running around at work is making some weight fall off of me. I am not going to weigh myself just yet though because it is not an issue I have been worrying with so maybe if I just let it be I will continue to lose. Another change that I have noticed is that my hair is starting to get long. I had decided a few months ago to let it grow back out long again but I had forgot just how quickly my hair grows.
Work is going good, I have learned pretty much everything there is to learn about my job in the past three weeks and last week I actually had to train a student radiologist for two days. The only thing that I have a problem with are certain x-ray films that we hang on the viewer for the radiologists to view. Sometimes certain ones can throw me way off and I have to ask for help.
I never realized that bones are so beautiful until I started this job. I have saw some weird things on those film, one guy had a yo-yo in his pocket and it showed up clearly in the film. Last Wednesday I had to hang film of a baby, this was the first experience I had had with baby x-rays but it was so cool, you could look at the facial bones and tell that the baby was crying.
We took our youth group from church on a trip this past weekend. Friday night we stayed in some cabins overlooking the Little Pigeon River, then on Saturday we went to Dollywood. We had a blast and the girls talked me onto the new roller coaster up there. The Mystery Mine is the name, the pic at the beginning of the post is of The Mystery Mine. This ride is not so bad except in two different spots it literally lays you back and takes you straight up in the air. I am afraid of heights so I did not like that part. The loop you see in the pic is the last thing that happens before the ride is over, I can handle the upside down part just don't take me straight up in the air after laying me down. After each roller coaster ride all the kids would run to the picture booth to laugh at how funny everyone looked. When we got off of the Mystery Mine they were laughing at everyones face but was disappointed because my head was down, when they asked why I put my head down I told them that is what one is supposed to do while praying...heehee! The pic was taken while we were going down immediately after the ride had laid us back and took us up.
I didn't ride the Tennessee Tornado this time, I just couldn't get up the courage to do it. The part of that ride that scares me is the 128 foot drop straight down in the dark tunnel, I was afraid I would lose my cookies had I rode that one. If you click the link you can see the start of the 128 ft drop in the fourth pic. (shiver)
I have tried to make it around to everyones blogs today to comment and I don't know when I will be able to get back around so y'all take care!

Take care sweetie!!!
Your job really sounds like it is going great! Xrays are fun to look at and trying to figure out what things are. They NOT so fun when you see bad things. But such as life.
I hope you have a great day with your son's 10th birthday
xoxo
Glad things are working out for you at work. You caught on so quickly. :)
Those 3-day weekends sound great!!
well happy birthday you your boy.
x-rays are pretty fascinating. i wish i had copies of mine withthe shattered forearm and then the metal in the bones and then the holes in the bones after they took the metal out. it was pretty wild to see the differences.
Happy b-day for your son! :D
Glad work is going good for you, it really helps to actually enjoy what you do.

As someone's already said, three day weekends rock. I only get them when there's a public holiday, but I love that moment on Sunday night when you remember that you DON'T have to got to work the next day. So nice.
