these days...

We were finally able to mow our yard today. We have been hot and dry here in East Tennessee. My grass was beginning to turn brown and crispy, all the leaves were dying and falling off the trees..blech! Finally Thursday we had some rain, enough so that our grass is now growing again and green. Our trees are looking better too but the right side of my yard still looks like it is fall because there are brown and orange leaves all over the ground. Needless to say we are all going to have to try an Indian rain dance if we don't get more rain soon...heehee...if it comes to the dancing then I will be sure to take pics!

I am so disappointed with the Vols right now over our game Saturday. I knew it was going to be bad when Cal. got their first undeserved touchdown. Yep that is right, it shouldn't have been considered a touchdown but oh well I am not going to cry over it, there is always next week! I wish Tennessee would win the National Championship again, if they did I would have to send Lee Corso a personal video rubbing it in his face, that shriveled up, tight reared man makes me angry, he always expects negativity from the Vols and when they come out the victor he always uses some lame excuse why they won. I wished he could just give credit where it is due and I am not just talking about the Vols in that statement!

I only have to work three days this week because Friday we are taking our youth group from church to spend the night in some cabins in Pigeon Forge then we are going to Dollywood on Saturday, I am really looking forward to spending this time with our youth group because they are a great group of kids.

Today has been a great day because I got a lot done around the house and because I spent time with my family. I got all of my laundry done which was about to pile up on me since not only did I work and was sick last week but we also had revival at church all week last week so I didn't have time to do laundry or anything else. I had planned on washing my van but I as Mr. B was going out the back door I told him I would be out in a few minutes to help him with his van when I finished folding the basket of laundry in front me, it took a few minutes longer than I thought to fold the clothes then I got tied up on the phone and by the time I made it outside Mr. B was drying my van. I was so thankful for that and let him know it more than once. By Mr. B washing my van it gave me more time to clean the inside so I conditioned the leather and everything.. it sparkles all over now and smells wonderful! I was also able to clean and polish the windows inside..now I can see better!!

I still have that sinus, allergy, head cold thingy I was telling y'all about last week. I know I am on the down hill slide but it is still nerve racking or should I say rib and lung racking since the coughing has really started.

I miss y'all so much! I tried to get around to your blogs tonight when I had time but I don't think I even got halfway through my blog roll, I will get there when I can but the next couple of days aren't looking too promising because they are filled already from 4:30 in the morning until about 9:00 at night. Right now I am praying for regularity in my schedule, everything will be better once I get on a regular schedule and that should start next week.
