high temps .....

We are , like everyone else , experiencing some miserable temperatures here in East Tennessee . I think I could handle the heat alot better if it wasn't for the humidity. Once the humidity starts going up my sinuses start stopping up , I sneeze all the time and my eyes feel as if someone rubbed some poison ivy , in which I am very allergic to, in them . On top of all that I get headaches that nothing but a strong pain pill will take away and since I don't like taking medication , I suffer through the headache and try to stay indoors.

Today my daughter went for her first day of high school . She only had to go for 1/2 a day but still it was scary for me . I can't believe that she is in high school already , I mean it seems as if she just started school a day or so ago . I am experiencing a bit of Empty Nest Syndrome and I have been for a while and I know that the kids aren't to that point but I am already wondering what I am going to do when they grow up and move out . Do any of you feel the same way ? Alot of people that I know with kids keep saying that they can't wait for their children to grow up but I just can't imagine not having them underfoot all the time . I am excited about watching them grow and seeing who they become and what they make of themselves but at the same time I get a bit sad because one day they are all going to be grown and move on to make a life of their own . Can you tell that my family is a very tight nit group of people ? heehee!

Bethany , my ten year old , will start middle school this year and she is excited about it . This is the first time that she has been in a school without one or both of her siblings attending the same school . Also , I will be having a birthday bash on her this Thursday August 3 to celebrate Bethany's 11th birthday . See what I mean about them growing up so fast ? LOL!

My son Ty lucked up and got the best third grade teacher that our elementary school has , which was a prayer answered for me because I have prayed about it all summer . He has been worrying about who he would get for a teacher since the end of school in May and now he is all excited and ready to go .

The kids actually start school on the 7th so we have the rest of the week to hang out together . Anyways, I think I am going to lay down for nap and hope that my headache goes away . Y'all have a good day , stay out of the heat if possible , if not just take precautions . Bye!!!!
